"w-what are you doing here?" taecyeon asked, scared.
"i came to talk to you." joong-ki said. then he looked around, saying, "thats a pretty nice office you got there, Mr. CEO."
"what do you wanna talk about?" taecyeon asked, wanting to get over with this whole thing as soon as possible.
"i know who you really are." joong-ki said.
"yeah, i figured out that you know i'm the CEO." taecyeon said.
"no, not that. the other stuff." joong-ki corrected him.
"what other stuff?" he asked.
"you being a psychopath and killing your own dad at the age of 18, then inheriting his company with a forged contract at the age of 19, but making dong yeon the fake CEO of hover-intellect enterprises at the age of 19." joong-ki said.
"so you know." taecyeon said softly.
"yes, i know." joong-ki said.
"p-please don't tell anyone." taecyeon said.
"i won't." said joong-ki. "but i need to ask you something else."
"what's up?" taecyeon asked.
"well, uh, remember the day when you told me that you like me? and i rejected you?" joong-ki asked.
taecyeon looked down to the floor, those dreadful memories coming back to his mind again. "yeah, i do remember." taecyeon said.
"well, i, um, i actually rejected you not because i was certain that i don't feel the same way to you, but because i wasn't sure if i like you too or not. so some days passed by, and as time went by, i got to know that....."
"you got to know what?" taecyeon asked, curiosity filling his head.
"i like you too." joong-ki said.
if joong-ki had said that to taecyeon a few days ago, he would have been extremely happy. but now, even though joong-ki had confessed his feelings, he still didn't feel as glad as he might have been before.
"i see." taecyeon said.
"thats it?" joong-ki asked. "i mean i told you how i feel about you and you just reply to me with two words?"
"thats not it, joong-ki." taecyeon said, not knowing how to say the next few sentences. "its just that.... i think i've probably fallen for someone else."
joong-ki looked at him, a spark of sadness in his eyes that taecyeon could see.
"you-you're kidding, right?" joong-ki said.
"i'm not." taecyeon said, going forward and taking joong-ki's hands. "i'm so sorry, joong-ki. i....i'm sorry. i know how it feels to be rejected like this, but....i'm just so sorry." taecyeon apologized.
"its fine." joong-ki said, pulling his hands away from taecyeon's. but taecyeon didn't approve of this movement and hugged him slowly, letting joong-ki put his head on his shoulder.
it was the complete opposite of what had happened in the park. over there, taecyeon was the one who had been rejected and who had been crying. but now, here, it was joong-ki who had been rejected and who was crying. taecyeon had never seen him cry like this before, and it made his heart break to see him like this.
"i'm so sorry joong-ki." taecyeon said. "i'm so sorry."
