Chapter 10

So as Fury said, the team gladly participated in their training without much of arguements. Tarrick was enjoying every moment with his daughter. He may not be allowed to tell her just yet but at least he gets to be with his daughter in a way.

"Alright everyone! Take five!" Tarrick announced because he knew they were pretty exhausted. They started at 8:00am early in the morning and started doing stretching as their warm up exercise.

Tarrick was with Amelia's side most of the time guiding her. He can sense a bit of her annoyance on why he was focusing on her only.

"He was on my side the whole time. What's with him?" They were now sitting on a bench. Javi and Peter were on either side of her. She was whispering to them to prevent Tarrick from hearing.

"I saw that too, he was always guiding you instead of the whole team" Peter said.

"Isn't that a little suspicious to you?" Amelia asked the two guys. Peter and Javi subtly look at their mentor and then back to Amelia.

"Maybe he's fond of you? I mean you were so concentrated back there" Javi tried to suggest.

"That doesn't excuse why he's always by my side. What's his deal?" Amelia wondered again. The whole time Amelia was doing her sit ups, she knows her mentor is either behind her watching or telling her what to do.

"Well, he can't be a spy or anything? Fury said so himself Alastair was his trusted friend and he used to be an agent here as well" Javi said trying to figure it out as well.

"Just...watch his move around you okay? If he does anything more suspicious let us know" Peter said, a bit worried for Amelia's safety. Someone tried to kill her twice already. He's not going to let it happen again even here at the compound. He saw Javi nodded as well.

"Time's up! Back into positions everyone!" Tarrick yelled informing the team that the session was over. They went and gathered in front of him immediately.

"You guys did absolutely great today. Your passion to prove you are worthy to be on top is amazing. Congratulations everyone. Dismiss" Tarrick and everyone quickly scattered to get their things and leave.

"Do you think we'll ever catch those kidnappers? I'm honestly getting tired of waiting. It's been two weeks now and we still got nothing on them" Izzy complained.

"It is taking a little too long than we thought. They are being careful with their moves, I can sense it. We've been compromised since the first day remember?" Javi reminded them.

"If they don't make their first move, then I guess we will? What else do we do? We're already busted and those kids in that school are in even more danger now" Amelia said worriedly.

"Then I guess we'll just have to go for plan B" Javi said.

"Since when did we have a plan B?" Peter asked smirking.

"Never" Izzy said chuckling. Javi and Amelia just shake their heads at the statement.

"Does anyone see anything suspicious?" Peter asked through the comms.

They're currently at the cafeteria scattered on their own different tables, trying not to draw too much attention.

"Not at the moment, no" Amelia replied.

Time passed and nothing happened. They are now back into their respective classes.

The teacher was in the middle of discussing when the school alarm went off indicating that there was an attack happening in the school.
