CHAPTER 7: FRIENDS

"THE CAPTAIN LOST!!!"

"CAPTAIN MORGAN'S BEEN DEFEATED!!!" The marines says in shock.

"Any of you still want to capture us!?" Zoro asks the marines. They all look at each other with an inexplicable look.

"HOORAY!!"

"WE'RE FREE!!"

"MORGAN'S REIGN OF TERROR IS OVER!!"

"BANZAI FOR THE NAVY!!"

"Hmph! They're happy we defeated their Captain." Luffy says, not knowing how to feel.

"Woah... Well, don't you two look good together!!" Keiko says looking at Luffy and Zoro.

"That means... Captain Morgan was ruling by fear!!" Koby says happily. Suddenly Zoro collapses.

"Zoro!?" Luffy says. "Swordsy!?" Keiko says.

"ZORO!!" Koby yells in terror.

       Back at town.

"HA HA HA!" Someone laughs.

"UMPH! I'M STUFFED!!" Zoro says touching his stomach, signaling his full. "Not eating for nine days was worse than I thought!!!" Zoro smiles. The town outside of the house watching them in amusement.

"See? You'd never have survived the whole month!" Luffy says, with food in his mouth.

"Don't talk with your mouth open!" Keiko tells Luffy, with her voice muffled by the food on her mouth.

"Funny... You two seem even hungrier than me!" Zoro says, looking scared as he sees them eat like monsters.

"It's kind of you to feed me along with the heroes, ma'am!" Koby tells Rika's mother.

"It's the least I can do! You three saved the whole town!!" She says smiling.

"Wow, you're great!" Rika tells Luffy. "Yeah, I'm kinda great! And I'm going to become a lot greater!" Luffy smirks, mouth full of food.

"So... What's next?" Zoro asks Luffy.

"We're headed for the Grand Line!" Luffy raises his voice, looking excited, making Keiko laugh at him.

"HUH!? THAT"S SUICIDE!!!" Koby yells at Luffy, standing up. "There are only three of you! If you go there, you'll just be sailing to your deaths! The most bloodthirsty pirates in the world are there!!!"

"Well, I guess if we're after the "One Piece"... The Grand Line is where we have to go." Zoro says smirking at the thought.

"ZORO!? YOU AGREE WITH HIM!?" Koby says going forward making Zoro flinch back.

"What's it with you? You're not coming with us."

"Plus! It'll be fine! They have me!" Keiko tells Koby, earning a glare from Zoro.

"BUT I'M WORRIED ABOUT YOU! IS THAT SO WRONG!? CAN'T I WORRY ABOUT... MY FRIENDS!?" Koby slams both hands on the table.

"That's not what I-" Zoro tries to say.

"Luffy, we haven't known each other for very long, but... We're friend, aren't we?"

"We're going our separate ways... But we'll always be friends!!" Luffy tells him, smiling.

"You're the first real friend I've ever had... No one else stuck up for me! Even I wouldn't stick up for me!" Koby says, touched by Luffy's short words. "But the three of you... Have thought me to fight for what I believe in!!"
