"um ... okay I have to go home since uh my curfew. I'll get killed by my brother so bye bye now," you waved quickly walking off. what the fuck were you suppose to say to someone you just kissed?
"I'll walk you home," xiao grabbed your hand to stop you. He looked the other way avoiding eye contact as his cheeks were giving him out at the moment.
"yeah sure," you accepted and you two began to walk back home in silence until you had the urge to ask him if you guys were official. after all, the boy did kiss you back.
"wait so... do you like me? if so we can date like I totally would not mind AT ALL. trust me. it's a dream come true."
"oh," that was the only word that escaped his mouth. he really likes you don't get him wrong but there was a lot of things holding him back still.
he quietly sighed staring at the ground and your head turned to take a look. you caught a glimpse of his expression and just smiled.
"it's okay if you aren't ready I can wait," you assured. "will you?" xiao's eyes widen at the sudden words but had his doubts.
"I will."
it was then at that moment he knew he could trust you. maybe you wouldn't look at him with those eyes all the others did if you found out about his past.
you were willing to wait for someone like him that alone was enough of an answer. he wouldn't keep you waiting for too long, after all he couldn't bare to lose you.
