Nathan walks into the kitchen where Dean and Cas are talking.
"How's the kid?" Dean asks the angel.
" Well, he says he's good, but. How's Sam?" Cas asks the man eating a sandwich. Nathan gets two pieces of bread and puts them in the toaster.
"He says he's good." Dean says. "I think they're both full of crap."
They both turn to Nathan as he starts to spread peanut butter on one of the pieces of toast.
"What?" He asks, noticing their staring.
"How's Libby?" Dean asks.
"Oh, uh... yeah, she, um... she hasn't said anything." Nathan says.
"You mean about how she's feeling?" Cas asks.
"No. No, she hasn't said a single word. She doesn't talk... whatsoever." Nathan states.
"Not even a word?" Cas questions.
"Nope. Nothing gets something out of here. Not Tangled, not me or Lia making gross couple-y comments, not asking how she is, nothing. Totally mute." Nathan states, putting jelly on the other piece of toast.
"Found us a case. Arkansas." Sam walks in with his tablet.
"We've just done three back to back hunts. I need some rest. At least a night. We both do." Dean states.
"Yeah, well, I'm leaving in ten." Sam walks out.
"Like I said, not good." Dean says.
"Maybe I should go with him. And you can stay with Jack." Cas says.
"Why?" Dean asks.
"You were right. Jack is struggling. And I've tried, but--"
"Why do you think he'll talk to me?"
"Well, because he looks up to you. And his soul -- I mean, you've seen this before."
"No, no. No. See, I was-- I was not great with Sam, you know, when he was, uh..."
"But Jack's soul isn't completely gone. At least I don't think so. W-We just don't know how much is left."
"Well, how am I supposed to figure that out?"
"I don't know. Just talk to him. Get him to open up. And then sleep until the cows come home."
"There it is."
"That's the saying."
Nathan grabs the plate of toast and a water bottle before returning to Libby's room.
Libby is still laying in her bed, curled up in a ball and on her side. She's tucked safely under her blanket, part of her face hidden in the fluffy material. She hasn't talked once since Michael or eaten which Ophelia is used to since Libby tends to go silent and refusing to eat after trauma.
What scares Ophelia is that Libby hasn't cried. She always cries, but the young girl hasn't shed a single tear.
"Hey." Nathan quietly greets. "Got some toast. Huh? Doesn't this look good?" He waves the plate in front of Libby's face, but the girl doesn't respond, still just staring blankly at the TV as Peter Pan plays.
Ophelia lets out a quiet sigh from where she sits in the bean bag.
"Hey, so, uh... Sam is going on a case in Arkansas and Cas is gonna go with." Nathan informs his girlfriend, squatting next to the beanbag.
"Okay." Ophelia mumbles.
"Well, uh... I think you should go with them." Nathan says.
"Why?" Ophelia asks.
