Correcting Everything

A race, and a cavalry battle.

"3... 2... 1... START!" After present mic had said those words Deku used full cowling at 20% to escape the cramped tunnel. He kept running until he ran into the zero pointers. 'St. Louis SMASH!' Deku kicked the robots causing a ton of wind pressure that went into the other robots instantly destroying them. 'Alright, time to go!' Deku then used full cowling again and looked behind him to see Todoroki catching up with him "Midoriya! You're not going to win this one!" He said inching closer to Deku "We'll see about that!" Deku adjusted full cowling to 30% and ran faster 'Have to keep running. To be honest I don't even know how some of these guys make it on foot. I heard that it's 4 kilometers!' Deku eventually got to the zip line and jumped while using float. 'Halfway there!' Deku saw Katsuki behind him "YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BEAT ME AGAIN YOU DAMN NERD!" Katsuki was gaining on him. Deku thought quick and used blackwhip to grapple himself to the ground. '20%!' Deku continued running and saw Todoroki and Katsuki catching up to him."Midoriya! You won't win this one!" Todoroki yelled "Maybe not! But then again... I'm not even trying." Deku said smiling then adjusting one for all to 50% his new limit. And avoided all the mines that were on the ground, eventually getting to the end and winning first place.

After waiting for a little bit Katsuki and Todoroki ran into the stadium, Katsuki was pissed that he lost to Deku again. And Todoroki just ignored him. 'This might be a little bit more difficult then I thought.' Deku thought seeing everyone else go in to the stadium then he saw Ochako walking towards him "Deku, that was amazing! I can't believe you got 1st place I'm jealous!" Ochako said "Oh thanks. I didn't really know if I would be able to do it." Deku said lightly scratching his cheek. Katsuki walked to Deku and grabbed his collar "Listen up! I don't care how you got that new flashy quirk! I want you to know I'm still going to be the number 1 hero!" Katsuki yelled at Deku "Kacchan, please let go of me. Lets not create a scene here." Deku said "Fine! Just so you know I'm going to get first place not you!" Katsuki said letting Deku go.

Ochako checked on Deku "Hey are you okay?" She asked "Yeah, I'm fine. Kacchan has always been like this, ever since he got his quirk he's always acted like he's better than everyone else. But I'm sure he'll soon find out that there will always be someone stronger." Deku said walking to the rest of the crowd 'Now I have to deal with a 10 million point headband. However I should be able to keep it on my head, whenever Iida uses his special trick I'll be ready for it and take their headband.' Deku then saw midnight spin the wheel with it landing on cavalry battle "The rules for this game are simple! You get headbands based on the placement you got in the obstacle course, so if you got 42nd you get 5 points, if you got 41st you get 10 points, and so on. And first place gets... 10 MILLION!" Midnight said and everyone gave death stares to Deku making him get a shiver 'Man, I forgot how terrifying this was.' Deku thought looking at all of the death stairs "You will create a team of 4! The horse, and the rider! The one with more points is the rider! You'll have 15 minutes to pick your team! Start looking!" Midnight yelled and the timer started.

Deku knew who would be on his team, but he still wanted to try to get other teammates to no succession. Ochako walked towards him "Hey Deku, Let's team up!" Ochako said "Thanks! I was planning on asking you anyways! Now we just need 2 more people." As if on cue Hatsume showed up "Hey Mr. First place! Let me team up with you! I need to show support agency's my babies so I can get scouted!" Hatsume said "Uh... Sure... Anyways we need just 1 more. And I think I have just the guy." Deku walked towards Tokoyami. "I want you to team up with me." Deku said and Tokoyami nodded his head.

The 15 minutes were eventually up and everyone had their teams ready. The cavalry battle began and Deku activates full cowling, just in case. They started running and immediately everyone went for him. Deku knew this was coming and used blackwhip to attempt to grab others headbands, which worked. He grabbed quite a few and place them around his neck. He kept running and using his other quirks to avoid a few close calls, then he saw Iida. He knew what he was going to do and stoos his ground "listen Todoroki, I have a special secret, you will only have one chance to get that headband." "Whoa slow down, just what are you going to do?" Todoroki asked "Just listen to me! You only have one shot!" Iida then used his special move to go faster than the eye can see. However Deku saw this coming and dodged whilst taking Todorokis headband, but took pity on him so he gave him a high point headband. "Did we get him?" Todoroki looked down at his hand expecting the headband to say 10 million but it instead said 355. "What the?!" Todoroki looked at Deku only to see him smirking. "Time is almost up. I'm sorry I let you down." Iida said then they heard explosions "DEKU! I'M GOING TO TAKE THAT 10 MILLION HEADBAND!" Katsuki said exploding himself towards Deku "Kacchan! Bring it on!" Deku yelled using full cowling then... "TIMES UP!" present mic yelled and Katsuki fell on his face "Damn it! DAMN IT! DAMN IT! DAMN IT!" Katsuki yelled into the ground "I LOST AGAIN!" Katsuki said. The score board was shown and Deku's team was at the top. "Great job you guys." Deku said giving a thumbs up to his team "Thanks Deku." Ochako said.

Everyone then took a break, walking to the area Deku sat under a cherry blossom tree and ate one of his katsudon. "Hey, mind if I sit here?" Ochako asked appearing in front of him "no, not at all." Deku said "you know Deku, you really are amazing. And what you said earlier to Bakugo was really true. There always will be someone stronger than us. But if there will always be someone stronger than us I wonder why they aren't the number 1 hero." Ochako said "To be honest, I wonder that too. But Japan is home to one of the most prestigious schools. I hear there is an even more prestigious school somewhere in America. That must be where the strongest hero in the world went." Deku said making Ochako giggle "You're such a nerd Deku, that's what I like about you." Ochako said making Deku blush a bit "Thanks Uraraka, oh yeah, I've been taking notes of everyone in my class. Here's what I have on you." Deku said showing her his notebook "wow, that's a lot!" Ochako said amazed. After a lot of talking the signal to go into the stadium eventually rang and the duo went in. "Welcome back! After that small break it's time for the action to truly begin! That's right the moment you've all been waiting for! The tournament! You will draw lots and whoever's name is on the lot will be your opponent! Now begin!" Midnight said and Deku drew Shinso's name 'Same as last time.' Shinso walked by Deku "It seems we're fighting each other." Shinso said and Deku nodded "Good luck." Shinso said making Deku nod again.

Eventually everyone drew their lots and as expected Deku was the first one to fight. "Alright fighters! Come to the arena!" Midnight yelled and Deku and Shinso walked out. "Whoever knock the other one out first, or whoever knocks them out of the ring wins! Now are the fighters ready?" Midnight asked and the 2 of them nod "BEGIN!"
