Hastur watched gleefully as the fight between Baal and Eden continued. Well, it wasn't really much of a fight. Baal was ripping the Abomination to shreds, and the former Duke of Hell was thinking about the look that was most likely on Crowley’s face as he watched from his cell in Alighieri and it made him smile.
Eden fell to her side with a dull thud. The snow stung the fresh scratches on her face. "Ungh…" Eden groaned as she touched her side, Baal's teeth had bit deep….the white snow turning red around her.
Eden looked around the arena, searching for something, anything, that might help her in this fight.
A few feet away from her, she saw what looked like a sword leaning against a metal trash bin lid.
Maybe if she just crawled towards them…..
Baal crouched on all fours and crept forward towards Eden. He snickered as she started to crawl away. This would make things more fun. The audience loved him. Today's fight was clearly a hit thanks to him but he was far from done. The Abomination needed a few more tears and rips before he wrapped things up.
Now! Baal pounced, teeth and claws bared, ready to land the final blow….
Silence fell over the audience as Baal wailed in pain.
Eden's hunch had been correct. It had indeed been a sword. A rusty one, and it was currently in Baal's shoulder. Thick dark red blood gushed onto the snow as Baal swung a clawed hand at Eden but the blow was blocked by a metal trash bin lid.
"Shit shit shit shit!" Abraxas swore as he ran to where Hastur and Beelzebub were sitting.
"Hastur!" Abraxas gasped in between his rapid pants. "You need to call off the fight!"
Hastur scoffed. "I will when a fighter falls…" there was a sudden silence.
Both Baal and Eden had passed out.
"Huh. Interesting." said Hastur. "Baal tripping up like that….embarrassing….but at least he tore up the Abomination."
