Bad Omens Book 5: Ineffable Part 2

Chapter 92

Aziraphale, Crowley, Abraxas, Raguel, Gabriel and Eden worked tirelessly on stacking a pile of stones. Eden had found a small clearing with a empty space in the canopy, in which a beam of sunlight would trickle through, lighting up the clearing during the day. The stone cairn made a small circle and once it was complete, Eden stabbed her rusty sword in the center, planting it firmly in the soil. After they returned from Hell Crowley had found her sword in her TARDIS and Eden didn’t want to keep it. But she came up with the perfect alternative.

"Thanks for protecting us, Brutus. We never would have made it without you." Gabriel wrapped an arm around her. "I wouldn't have made it without you."

"Thank you for protecting my Edie....I don't know what I would do without her."

"And your friendship helped me and Raguel through the hardest times." Abraxas added.

Raguel nodded, "You were always kind to us."

Crowley spoke next, "You protected my little girl and for that I'll always be grateful."

"I hope you'll find peace wherever you are....." Aziraphale said as Hellraiser placed a massive paw on the base of the cairn.

"Thank you Brutus." Everyone then took turns in decorating the cairn with flowers.

As the group made their way back onto the trail that led to home, Eden glanced back and saw a beam of sunlight begin to trickle through which brought tears to her eyes.

"Hold your head up!" Crowley snapped at Gabriel. The Archangel was staring at his damn notes again while Crowley was combing his hair. "Tape your vows to the mirror if you have to, but don't move! I want you to look perfect for my Queenie." 

They were at the Falls, since the wedding would be at St James Park, the Fells and the Archangel agreed that the best thing would be to have the bride and groom get prepped at the Falls and at South Downs. 

"Oh uh sorry…" Gabriel held his head up. He was a nervous wreck. Today was the day.  He was finally going to marry Eden, and finally see her in that wedding dress…..but it was quite difficult to concentrate amidst the chaos around him. Adam was prepping his and Bella's son, Terry Neil for his duty as ring bear, while Warlock, Newt, Shadwell, and even Adam's father, Mr. Young was helping Abraxas and Raguel choose their tuxes. They were quite literally the last minute guests…

Even Mr. Dowling, Warlock's father was there, asking yet again what kind of dog Hellraiser was….

Hellraiser and Dog knew they should have gone with the bridesmaids and bride to be….

"Oh my Little One you look as beautiful as when you first tried this on." Aziraphale rasped as Eden's bridesmaids admired the dress. Pepper excused herself to prepare her and Wensleydale's daughter, Magnolia, and Brian and Soairse's daughter, Agnes, for their flower girl duties.
