ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ CONRAD ˏˋ°•*⁀➷

After a few minutes of hugging and kissing, it's time to return to reality. Addi has her head buried in my neck while I message her back with my finger. She pulls away from me.

"Do I look like I've been crying?" she asks. I love how seriously she's taking the fact that she can't tell anyone about Mom's cancer.

"You look beautiful," I tell her before kissing the top of her nose.

"Nope, I don't think so. But let's pretend I believe you."

"Have I ever lied to you?"

"No, you just keep the truth to yourself."

"I get it, but trust me when I tell you, you look beautiful. You always do."

"Why the hell do you say that you're not good for me?"

"Because I'm not, but now I'm willing to risk everything just to be with you."

"Conrad Fisher, you've never been anything but good for me. Do you hear me? Stop saying those things or I'll dump you."

"God, we've only been dating for five minutes, and you're already threatening to leave me."

"I like the sound of dating," she tells me with a smile. When I smile back at her, I know that I'm lost. I'm so in love with this girl, and there's nothing I want to do to change that.

"Yeah, me too." I stand up from the bed, with her legs wrapped around my waist. She unwraps them and stands in front of me. I take her hand, intertwining our fingers. "Come on, let's go see the others." We make our way downstairs, where Belly and Jere are laughing about something. "Hey, where are Mom and Lauren?" I ask them.

"They're walking on the beach," Jere tells me. "Where were you guys?" Why does my brother have to be such a gossip?

"None of your business," I respond.

"Addi, I'm your best friend. Are you going to let him talk to me like that?"

"Don't talk to him like that," Addi tells me, hitting me on the shoulder with her hand. "And Jere, to answer your question, we were just talking."

"Come here," Jere tells her. She lets go of my hand and walks toward him. He takes her face in his hands and looks at her.

"What the hell are you doing?"

"I'm just checking if you were crying."

"Why?"

"Because, if you don't remember, most of the time you talk to him, you end up crying," I tense after hearing that. I hate being the one who makes her cry. "But this time seems different."

"Stop acting like a weirdo," I tell Jere while grabbing Addi's hand.

We all sit on the couch and start talking about random stuff, but I can see that Addi is quiet. She's sad and thinking about my mom. I don't know if it was a good idea to tell her the truth, but I don't want to see her sad. I move her closer to my body, wrapping my arm around her shoulders. She gives me a small smile and lays her head on my chest. I can see a curious look coming from Belly, but she prefers not to say anything. I still don't know if we're going to tell everyone that we're dating or not, but I'm not going to resist keeping myself away from her anymore. I hated it when I used to want to hug her, take her hand, or even kiss her, but I couldn't. But now, I can.

I was playing with Add's hair when Jere and Belly told us they were leaving. I know they are dating, but it's weird how these two sisters won our hearts.
