Victor's POV
I woke up nervous. My hands were shaking and I was a little sweaty.
Today's the day.
Lydia half-assed a plan to get us out of here, and honestly, it's kind of confusing. She says we'll be long gone by tomorrow morning.
Oh well...better start getting ready.
I found a box that had our old clothes in it as I looked for a bag. I found some olive colored cargo pants and a khaki vest along with Lyd's clothes too. I took a pair of scissors to the standard white clothes given to us at one point during the last six years and I made a tank top.
I then headed towards Lyd's room.
When I entered, I saw her looking for something.
"Uh, Lyd? What the hell are you doing?"
She looked up at me from behind her bed, "I'm looking for the clothes I had when we left Atlanta."
"Oh I found them. Funny, you'd have thought they would be thrown out."
Lydia ended up with a short sleeve, blue-green shirt with the number 13 on both sleeves with black trimming; a thin, magenta leather vest with a black stripe on each side with a hood; camo pants; black, fingerless, leather, biker gloves and tan combat boots.
"Oh my gosh! Thank you so much!" Said Lydia as she gave me a hug.
Now that we have that out of the way, we started to pack the important stuff.
We grabbed a couple duffle bags and split up. She packed the food, I packed other necessities like blankets, pillows, etc.
Getting to Lydia's room, I threw in a small wooden box that she brought with her the day we escaped the fires and stuck it between the blankets, and finally a pocket watch necklace that I had engraved with Lydia's name and a four leaf clover before the Fires.
In all honesty, I don't really believe in God, which is weird, cause I do believe in luck. Lydia is the complete opposite, which I find funny for some reason.
"Ready?" asks Lydia from the kitchen.
"As ready as I'll ever be," I said, grabbing my duffle bag and meeting her in the living room.
"Let's not waste any time then, let's go!" She grabbed the stuff and we left our house for the last time.
Dressed in our colorful clothes, we wandered through the city. Lydia pointed out that the only exit to the city was through the tunnel.
We hurried though the dimmed streets and had gotten close to our destination but we were then cornered by two girls.
One was wearing a grey dress adorned with a red sash, dirt, blood stains and tears in the skirt; She also had a red mask that went over her eyes [A/N Gerard's Revenge era mask] and a small crown in her hair.
The other had her hair in a ponytail, and was wearing brown capris and had a somewhat 80s look, but not exactly.
"Hands up!" Said the 80s girl.
"Wait! M-my name is Lydia, and this is my f-friend V-Victor."
"Okay. What do you think you're doing?" Asked the Princess.
"Well what do you think you're doing?!" I snapped.
"Could you just shut up already?! We're on a mission. Just get out of our way before I blow your brains out."
We turned away from each other, minding our own business. We ran out of the city through the tunnel. But when we got to the small toll booth near the entrance, I saw exterminators lying on the ground, dead.
Those were Killjoys...
