The Other Side

I was on the rooftop of my tree house
The stars had started to come out
I heard crunching footsteps behind me
Surprised,I turned around and met his eyes
I don't know what it was about those caramel brown eyes
Whether it was the shape,size or colour
All I know is that I felt a spark in me that night
He said his name and I said mine
We chatted till after midnight
It was as if we'd known each other all our lives
Coincidentally,we met again and again and the spark grew bigger
It was clear now as we stared into each other's eyes
Fate had caused our souls to collide
As he held my hand
The spark burst into flames
And all I wanted to do was to stay
He opened the door to another world
A world I felt safe in
He was my world,my lifeline
He was mine
Unfortunately,death stole him away from me
Tears rolled down my face as I watched him cross over to the other side
