The Cursed Clock

Opportunity knocks once, I guess that holds some truth
But I didn't think timing was a factor that could cause me to lose
It slipped right through my fingers,in a second it was gone
The perfect moment lost because the timing was wrong
I guess things could've gone the way I wanted in my perfect storybook
But the cursed clock was ticking and I forgot to take a look
The lesson hidden in my simple story you see
Is to seize every single opportunity
Don't allow time and opportunity to just fly by
Follow your dreams and reach for more than just the wide blue sky
Of course people make excuses for their failure
But it was just the first attempt
I promise you'll get better if you just keep trying
