The Key To Life

He built me in a beautiful garden
Made me innocent and free from any burden
A cunning serpent changed my mind
And now I chose death and not life
A gap was made between me and my creator
The one I once used to call father
The light at the end of the tunnel was slowly dimming
And now I looked all shattered and broken
A light from nowhere shone from above
And promised to clothe me in all His love
I didn't know the price He was to pay
Not until that fateful day
The host of heaven turned away from Him
All because I couldn't turn away from my sins
He was crucified on the cross
The whole world was made to bear the loss
He was mocked,beaten spat on for my sake
All because of my mistakes,your mistakes
He was beaten beyond recognition
Was this the saviour who was to redeem all nations ?
My question was answered on the day
Our loving Saviour rose again
I was now closer to Him than ever
I was welcomed into his arms again
And he rid me of all my pain
And so I'm here to share today
The embodiment of love,mercy and of grace
He's knocking at your door today
Just open your heart and let him in
Jesus is the way to a life without sin
