⚠️ Trigger Warning - Miscarriage ⚠️

Ava's pov

I wake up with a cramping in my tummy, Sebastian's head was still on my tummy as he'd fallen asleep. I gently move him and head to the toilet, I notice spots of blood on my underwear which can be common within the first 12 weeks. I head back to my seat and theres announcement for the seatbelts to go back on as we start our decend. I wake Sebastian and he laces his fingers with mine.

"Seb, i'm bleeding a little...".

Sebastian looks at me confused.

"Bleeding? What do you mean?".

"Um... down there" I nod towards my crotch.

"Oh right that's not good is it? As soon as we land we'll go straight to the doctors ok? We'll get you checked over and make sure everything is ok yeah?"' He pulls my hand up to his lips kissing my knuckles.

Sebastian grabs his phone and sends a couple of texts as we land. We grab out hand luggage and head to baggage claim where we found our bags and headed through the airport. Sebastian pushes our suitcases with me following close behind him.

Sebastian takes my hand and guids me through the crowd, a couple of camera's flash and Sebastian gives a small smile to the paparazzi before we meet our driver outside.

Sebastian puts our luggge in the the trunk before getting in and asking the driver to head towards the doctors office.

20 minutes later we arrive at the doctors office and head inside where I climb onto the bed and pulling my top up like before. The nurse starts the ultrasound and takes some pictures, my hand is in Sebastians as we look at the screen, the nurse excuses herself and comes back in with the doctor.

"Hi i'm doctor Owen nice to meet you both, I understand you've been having some cramping and bleeding? Jenna has taken come pictures i'm just going to do another scan and see what's going on is that ok?".

I nod allowing another scan to be done.

Doctor Owen scans my tummy again turning the screen away from us pointing at a couple of things asking Jenna some questions under her breath, I look at Sebastian who gives a reassuring smile.

Jenna leaves the room quietly leaving myself and Sebastian with doctor Owen.

"Ava, Sebastian. I've had a look at the scan that Jenna had done and I also did one myself confirming her suspicions. I'm really sorry but you're having a miscarriage, they're common before 12 weeks. I've had look at your blood work and you and the baby have a different blood type ultimately meaning that unfortunately your body is rejecting the baby. I'm really sorry again i'll give you some time alone." Doctor Owen leaves the room, my heart sinks in my chest. Tears fall down my face as Sebastian stands up and wraps his arms around me, I sob into his chest.

"Ava, i'm so so sorry". Sebastian holds me tight stroking my hair.

A short while after Doctor Owen comes back into the room to discuss our options. I opted to take the tablet which will help the miscarriage process quicker and avoiding surgery. I take the tablet before getting dressed to leave.

Sebastian sits in the chair with his head in his hands. Doctor Owen gives him a sympathetic pat on the shoulder as she leaves the room.

"I'm so sorry Sebastian. It's just as hard on dad's as it is for mum's". Sebastian nods wiping a tear away from his eyes.
