Ava's pov

A couple of weeks had passed and everything that I brought to L.A had been moved into Chris' house.

Sebastian had went back to New York and we weren't really on speaking terms since he walked in on me and Chris.

I lounge around the house in Chris' sweats mostly spending my day on the couch with Dodger watching Greys Anatomy. Chris was out for the day at meetings.

I grab my phone scrolling through Instagram seeing that Sebastian had posted a picture of the sunset in Greece, he always liked Europe seeing as he was from Romania. I like the photo and go on to text him.

'Hey Seb! I hope you're enjoying vacation in Greece! It looks amazing! I miss you, speak soon. A x'

Dodger begins barking as he hears Chris' car pull up in the driveway, I head to the door opening it and letting Dodger run to Chris. Dodger jumps onto Chris nearly taking him down, Chris laughs as he plays with Dodger before heading towards the house.

Ava leans against the door frame grinning at Chris roughhousing with Dodger before she puts her arms around Chris neck and pulls him into a kiss.

The couple head inside with Dodger right behind them, Chris heads for the shower whilst Ava prepares some lunch. Hearing her phone ding Ava grabs her phone in hopes that Sebastian had texted back.

Instead it was one of her friends from New York, Jess.
Opening the text, Ava frowns

'Hey Ava! You never told me you were dating CHRIS EVANS!!!'.

Nobody knew about Ava and Chris because it was still early on in the relationship and they'd only been living together a couple of weeks. There was no possibility of someone seeing them together outside because Ava's anxiety was at it's peak and she hadn't left the grounds around the house. There was a pool at Chris house and an amazing view of Hollywood which Ava loved and she felt there was no need to leave seeing as she could get everything delievered.

How does she know?

A minute later another text from Jess comes through, it's a link which Ava clicks on to see a E! news article reading 'Mystery Woman Captured Chris Evans Heart?' Followed by a couple of pictures of Chris and Ava in the pool splashing and playing and the headline photo was of them kissing.

Ava read the article and thankfully they never got a picture of her face or knew her name. Ava felt her heart rate rise as the anxiety set in and the tears began to burn her eyes.

Was she safe here?

Peeking out the curtains to look out to the driveway she scans from left to right looking for anyone who'd be onlooking or taking pictures.

"Hey". Chris whispers in Ava's ear as he grabs her waist, Ava jumps and Chris looks at her concerned.

"Everything alright?" He strokes her cheek.

"Chris, E! published an article with pictures of us in the pool calling me your mystery woman, how did they get pictures?".

Chris hears the panic in Ava's voice and pulls her into him wrapping his arms tightly around her to prevent her having a panic attack.

"Take slow deep breaths, i've got you." Chris strokes Ava's hair as he feels her tears soak his chest.

Ava started to calm down as Chris lead her to the couch, he sat her down and covered her with a blanket. Chris grabbed a couple of bottles of cold water from the fridge and sat down with Ava. He placed the cold bottle of water on her wrist to distract her from having another panic attack, the cold bottle of water trick always helped him when he felt anxious.

The couple cuddled up under the blanket on the couch watching Greys Anatomy, Chris realised Ava was asleep when she slightly jumped - something she always did when falling into a deep sleep. He grabbed his phone and called his publicist to discuss the E! article.

He never read anything online about himself and especially not about his dating status but he read this article about him and Ava and he was furious not only because someone had secretly been taking pictures at his home but because they had published pictures of him and his girlfriend.
