Ava's pov

Christmas and New Year flew by and we were into 2023. We sorted our little girls room ready for her arrival but we still couldn't decide on a name, we had a few weeks left to decide.

I woke up around 6.30am, it was a miserable start to the day - raining and dark outside.

I get out of bed pulling on my dressing gown and slotting my feet into slippers as I make my way into the kitchen and flicking on the kettle. I sort myself a cup of English Breakfast Tea - my only craving. Whilst I was waiting on the water boiling I let Dodger outside, the cold air hitting me like a ton of bricks. I wrap my dressing gown around me as Dodger makes his way back inside evidently too cold for him out their as well.

I pour my tea and settle on the couch flicking through the channels. I come across Impractical Jokers and watch a couple of episodes before I make my way into baby girls room. There was some new clothes we had bought her to he folded and put away, I sit on the floor doing so looking through everything she had so far. She is so lucky.

After I finished folding the clothes I run myself a nice warm bubble bath to try and ease the slight pains i'm getting mostly likely from Brackston Hicks.

Sinking into the warm bubbles I begin reading my book as I hear footsteps coming towards the bathroom, I look up at the door to be met by Chris softly smiling at me - still half asleep.

"Hey you" I smile.

"Hi baby, everything ok?" He kneels down next to the bath and kisses my head.

"Yeah just couldn't sleep, been having some cramping so thought i'd have a bath to see if that helps"

Chris nods in response before leaving the bathroom to start making us some breakfast.

"Chris?"

"Yeah?"

"I think my waters just broke!!!".

Chris runs into the bathroom and straight to me.

"Ok, um... what do we do? Do I call Doctor Brown or do we go to hospital?" He asks frantically.

"I can stay home until the contractions are 2 minutes apart, that could take days. Best to call Doctor Brown to be on the safe side?".

Chris grabs his phone and calls Doctor Brown. He comes back confirming that I was to stay home until the contractions were 2 minutes apart.

After Chris helps me out the bath I get dried and into one of my hospital night gowns. I place a towel down on the bed to help prevent any accidents.

10 hours had passed and the contractions were getting more intense and closer in time. Chris called Doctor Brown again who told us to go into hospital where he had a room already prepared.

I go into our little girls room where Chris is getting the car seat and baby bag. He looks terrified as he pulls me into him and plants a kiss on my hair.

I ask Chris to take the final two Polaroid photos of my bump, something we had been doing since we found out.

"Let's go have a baby..." I smile up at him as a few tears fall from my lids.
