It was a full moon and Frisk ended up taking you to their shifting place away from any wolf territories. With your permission, Alphys had cameras around the place so they could watch you all in your natural habitat. "How interesting that our species was saved by the enemy?" Asgore said as they watched the three wolves run around. "no kidding. those two aren't very aggressive either when the full moon is upon them, at least... not towards us." Sans replied. "YOU DO NOT THINK THEY WILL GET IN TROUBLE FOR NOT GOING HOME TONIGHT, WILL THEY?"
"they chose us as their mates. they'll likely be kicked out once their alpha finds out. that's probably exactly why they went with frisk instead. to get used to being on their own." Papyrus frowned. "I DON'T WANT TO BE THE REASON THEY GET SEPARATED FROM THEIR BROTHERS AND FATHER.." Sans patted his brother on the back. "this is their choice. [Y/N] chose a life with you over a life with her pack. she chose mercy." Sans looked back at the tussling wolves. "they all did."♧♧♧
At some point in time the three of you set out to hunt, leaving your audience behind as you and your brother followed the young scout wolf to a dinner source. From what you could tell, you were headed towards a elk herd. When howls rose it didn't bother you all that much, it was your pack after all, why would they harm the beta's litter? The scout flinched though, reminding you that they weren't pack. Your brother licked their head in reassurance, and you continued on. It wasn't long before you both joined about six others in their chase for an elk. The Alpha, his Heir, the Beta, and a few others. With yours and your brother's help, the animal was pulled down and killed. You and your brother celebrated with your father who scolded you for being gone, snapping his jaws at your heads before nuzzling you both. You all waited your turns to get a portion of the meal. As soon as the Alpha and his Heir were done, your father and brother went to eat. You waited patiently for the Beta's and Fighter wolves to finish up before you got your turn. It was only when the Trackers finished up and the Scouters went to eat that problems raised.
♧♧♧
The Alpha lunged at the little Scouter you and your brother had traveled with, making you both defensive of them as you both blocked his path from the little Scouter. Your brother displayed dominance towards the Alpha which was highly taboo. The Alpha snarled in anger, his eyes flashing yellow as he tried to use magic to force you to move. The will of the Alpha, most wolves, yourself included couldn't go against his magic, but being a Beta, your brother fought hard against the Alpha's will. That only further angered your Alpha- ex-Alpha- as he lunged to attack your brother. Father was attacked instead as he shoved his Alpha back and snarled, sparing you both by banishing you. "Leave. N o w . " You and your brother flinched back, but obeyed, following the Scouter with your heads and tails hung low. As you took one final look back, you could see the hurt in your father's eyes. He didn't want to watch you go, but he didn't want to watch you die, either. This was it. You couldn't go back.

The three of you woke up the next day, curled up in a pile of sadness. "We are dumb as wolves.." Kyle muttered. "We know that Frisk couldn't go back and now-"
"No, please don't blame yourself for this, it was my fault-" You cut them both off. "The matter of the fact was we were going to have to leave anyway. We couldn't possibly stay and hope to survive loving the Skeleton brothers. It was... I can't say it was better this way, but at least it's done and over with now." Frisk nodded slowly and Kyle had to agree as well. "Let's stop moping around here." Frisk stood up, brushing off dirt. "The monsters are waiting." You and Kyle rose up as well, the eldest sighing. "Can't wait to explain this to Sans.." You hummed. "And Papyrus. Don't suppose you know if they'll let us live with them, would you?"
"Sis. We're gonna be mates one day. Of course they'll let us live with them." You snorted at his explanation. "I suppose you have a point, good sir." Frisk and Kyle both laughed. "What is up with that all of a sudden, you weirdo."
"Just lightening the mood... good sir." They both laughed again. "I must say, you're English accent is rather posh, madame." Frisk retorted. "I'm sorry I'm American, informed only by something called a tv."♧♧♧
"And that's what happened while we were away from the cameras." Kyle concluded what you'd all done and seen during that hunt. "My poor child, you must be hungry.." Toriel rose to make Frisk breakfast. "i'm so sorry you guys had to leave like that. i can't say i understand it, but i'm sure it sucks." Sans let Kyle hug onto him with a slight whimper. "I mean, it was either that or the Alpha would've hurt Frisk and Toriel would kill us." Kyle chuckled weakly. "We've got the best pack we need right here." You and Papyrus snuggled into each other, humming in agreement. "If I could, I WOULD PUNCH THAT DARN WOLF IN THE FACE!!! NYAHHHHHHGGGGG!!!!" You and Kyle sweatdropped while Frisk smiled. "It's greatly appreciated Undyne, but please don't. We don't need to make things any worse.." You huffed quietly, nuzzling deeper into Papyrus, agreeing with Frisk silently. "They're right." Kyle had pulled Sans into his lap, though the small Skeleton wasn't complaining. "Maybe one day we can show the wolves that coexistence is possible, but for now, let's just stick to our own and not cause any more trouble."
