"welp we're off to grillby's bro, see ya later." Sans and Kyle waved as they left. "HAVE FUN ON YOUR DATE, BROTHER!" Papyrus called back, you gave him a curious look. "What's Grillby's? I thought a date was going to see your Underground home?" Papyrus shook his head, looking amused. "GRILLBY'S IS THIS HORRIBLE GREASETRAP OF A BAR SANS LIKES AND IS TAKING YOUR BROTHER TO. AS FOR THE DATE THING, YOU CAN TAKE ANYONE ANYWHERE FOR A DATE AS LONG AS IT'S IMPORTANT TO THAT PERSON." You hummed quietly. "So that 'horrible greasetrap' is important to Sans?" Papyrus sighed. "I do not like the food, but the owner, Grillby, raised us. Sans Goes to him with everything and anything. I'm not surprised that place is important to him." That earned another hum from you. He quirked a brow toward you. "Something on your mind, [N/N], you seem distracted." You shook your head. "I'm looking forward to learning more about your culture. It seems so much more interesting then ours." You replied. "Nyeh heh heh heh, I look forward to showing it all to you! You will love it here, of this I'm certain." You smiled. "You already did."

When Papyrus went to work, he had to explain that humans and monsters had positions in society that they were rewarded with if they did their position correctly, much like in a pack. He gave you some of the cash he had been given. "I'm sure you'll want to explore instead of staying inside. Don't talk to strangers, look both ways before crossing the streets, and please be home by dinner at six?" You nodded quickly. "Thank you Papy!" You pressed a kiss to his teeth before dashing out. You had a goal to complete before six and you had no clue where you were going. "How do I make the light walk?" You stared blankly at the red hand that you assumed meant don't move. You looked around until you saw a metal button on the pole. It made a weird sound when you pressed it, making your inner wolf giddy and excited. So you pressed it again... and again... and again. "Hey, you can walk now... are you ok..?" The person gave you a weird look. You just smiled and dashed across the street and just kept going, looking for the place or places that would hold what you desired.

You caught a scent that drew you in. Worn wood, old metal, whethered fabric. It was called an antique store and it was here that you entered first. There was plenty that genuinely freaked you out and plenty more that intrigued you. "Wah ha ha!" The laugh made you jump as a tortoise came hobbling over. "It's been many a year since I saw an adult werewolf." That freaked you out more. "H-how did you-" He cut you off with another laugh. "I've lived a long life girly, I know a wolf when I see one. I also know you ain't a threat. So what can I do for ya?" You blinked and smiled, deciding at this monster was genuinely accepting of your species. "I want to take my boyfriend on a date, but I don't know where to look to get what I need." The tortoise started to run a hand through his small beard. "Whatcha looking for?" To that you pulled out a picture book you'd found in the house and showed it to him. "Stuff for that." The tortoise gave a crooked smile. "Sure I've got stuff ya can buy for that. This way little wolf."

Thus you purchased most of what you needed as Gerson's Antique Shoppe. He directed you to a place were you could get everything else you needed and you took his word for it. Rumor had it that Papyrus had a sweet tooth and pastries from Muffet and a bottle of cider would complete the list. So after using up the money to purchase that, you took your items of choice to the spot you'd chosen and hid it so no one could get it. Now you just had to get Papyrus and convince him to come with you. That wouldn't be too hard. You took off back to the city and back to Papyrus. You reverted to human when you got there and even met Papyrus at the front door. "Pap!" Papyrus nearly dropped the keys to the house with how you scared him. "[Y/N]! WELCOME BACK!"
"You too, how was work?" Papyrus brushed his scarf behind him. "IT WENT WELL, IT WAS A GOOD DAY."
"Good enough for you to follow me to a random location for a suprise?" You asked. "SURPRISE? FOR ME?" You nodded with a hum. "I... don't see why not.. LET'S SEE IT!" He agreed.

When they made it out of city limits, you shifted to wolf once more. "How far is this place?" He asked despite knowing he'd never get a answer in her wolf form. He climbed onto her back and they sped off towards the wood once more it was a risk, but it was one worth taking. Lucky for them that that spot was just outside of pack borders, so they'd be safe even if a wolf came by. Borders you once welcomed repeled your wolf anyway, since it knew you couldn't go back. Finally you slowed, Papyrus gasping as he recognized the place you both met that fateful day. He slipped off your back and you shifted, going to the hiding spot and pulling out a traditional picnic basket. "Mr. Gerson gave these to me for a discount. He helped me with everything for the date other than the location itself." You explained as you pulled out a picnic blanket and laid it flat on the ground. "A... date.." Papyrus murmured. You hummed yet again. "Somewhere special, right?" You asked as you laid out the sweets and cider. Papyrus joined you on the blanket. He reached over and you met his teeth eagerly, enjoying the feel. "Yes [N/N], this is exactly what it is to have a date."
