Chapter Seven

Bass's P.O.V

Bass couldn't believe how this day turned out. It started off as an easy day and he was nearing the end of the second shift without any bank robberies, drug busts or shootouts. Los Santos seemed peaceful, or at least it was until he got the call from Pill Box about Ms. Ray Mond and his whole day turned into chaos. He was sitting at his desk trying to go through all the statements he got from Claire, Violet, Yuno, and the doctors. Looking at the list of injuries made his stomach churn. Of all the people in Los Santos for this to happen to it just had to be one of the most connected people in the city. Ms.Ray Mond wasn't around much but she was Chang Gang and her brother was with CB and those groups would turn the whole city upside down if they didn't get justice soon. It also seems she has close ties with the angels and the Mandem. Bass also noticed that Gunner and Jones looked like they were taking this harder than they should be. Bass was just about to call it a night when Officer Jones walked in. "Sir Pillbox just called we need to head back over." Jones told him. "Why what happened?" Bass asked. "Apparently they think the kidnapper snuck in and was in Ms. Mond's room. Mr. Sykk demanded we come back now." Jones filled in Bass. He let out a long sigh before pushing his chair back and letting out a long sigh. " Let's go Jones. It looks like we have a long night ahead of us."

Yuno's P.O.V

Yuno has been pacing back and forth for the last fifteen minutes. The murderous rage he felt has only multiplied. The doctors just told him that the person that was in his sister's room wasn't spotted on any of the hospital camera's. He couldn't believe that was possible there were over twenty cameras between the parking garage, the outside of the hospital, and the interior of the hospital. Before Yuno could start yelling again Buddha stepped up and asked if there was anyway they could see the footage. The doctors agreed to let them see the footage, but they would have to go to the security room to see it. Yuno refused to leave his sister's side for even a minute so Buddha went along with Tommy. After they left is when Yuno started his pacing because staying idle was just letting his rage grow. He finally noticed that April and Ramee where missing from the room, and that Randy was just sitting next to his sister's bed looking broken. Yuno imagined he probably had the same look on his face a few hours ago. That thought caused his rage to subside a little. Even if he didn't want to admit it Yuno knew that the only person feeling even close to half of what he was feeling was Randy Bullet and suddenly he felt guilty for punching him earlier. 

"You where the most important person to her you know." Yuno said needing to get what he need to say to Randy off his chest. He has put this conversation off for six months and he just couldn't hold back anymore. Randy looked up at Yuno but didn't respond. "She loved you and you broke her." Yuno said trying to get a rise out of Randy, because as guilty as he felt for punching him Randy wasn't allowed to mop around after what he did to his sister. "Yeah I know." Was all Randy said with an emotionless tone in his voice. This caused Yuno's rage again how could Randy sit here acting like he cares about Ray and then respond like that. " I don't think you do know. You were the only person she would do anything for. I mean she told me to my face that if it came to it she would chose her gang over me, but everyone knew that she would fight the whole world if you asked her to." Yuno said feeling his rage climbing to its peak again.

"You think I don't know that. Why do you think i'm here right now. She was my whole world too. You don't understand all the guilt I felt when she left. I choose to believe Lexi over Ray and then I choose the gang over her. I am the reason she is lying in the hospital bed right now. If I had just chosen Ray over everyone else and stopped caring about how it looked. We would have never thought she was leaving the city because she wouldn't have needed to get away. We would have known she was missing and we would have found her sooner. So yes Yuno I know it is all my fault that this happened to Ray, my ride or die, my best friend, my mundo, my world." By the end of Randy's rant Yuno saw tears pouring down Randy's face. This shocked him enough to not respond because Yuno knew that if Randy a man who only cared about his tough guy image was crying in front of someone it meant that he really cared about Ray.

It was another ten minutes of silence before Buddha and Tommy entered the room again followed by the doctor and Bass. By this time Randy had already stopped crying. " So did you see him on the cameras." Yuno asked waiting to know if they caught the bastard who caused all of this, but he looks on everyone's faces told him he wasn't going to like the answer. "Unfortunately it seem that the person who snuck in here knew where all  the cameras where and how to avoid being spotted. The only glimpses of him had his face covered with a baseball cap. We did figure out what car he had. He was driving a Futo, but it was a rental and it was paid for in cash so we don't have a name. It seems this guy is fully prepared and is leaving nothing to chance." Bass informed him. 

" So when can my sister leave here then, because if any random person can just walk in and enter her room i'm not leaving her here." Yuno said leaving no room for discussion. "Mr.Sykk your sister's injuries are extensive. She needs to be under constant observation for at least the next week." The doctor said trying to change his mind. "I can leave two officers posted outside her door at all times if you are worried about her safety." Bass added. "No my sister is coming home with me tonight. The only one I can count on to protect her is my family and myself." Yuno said hid mind set not changing. "I'm sorry Mr.Sykk there is no way I can sign off on your sister's release tonight." Yuno was started to get frustrated and was about to lose himself to his rage, but before that could happen Buddha interjected. "What if we got all of her medical equipment set up at our manor and hired an at home doctor or you could even be her at home doctor. Would that work as a compromise?" The doctor to a minute to think this over. "That will work if you bring her back to the hospital every two days for a check up, but it will take at least a day to get everything set up so she has to stay here until then. Mr. Sykk is more than welcome at the hospital the whole time she is here and we can have an officer posted outside the door. Everyone else will need to leave soon though as our visiting hours ended a long time ago." The doctor said. Yuno stood there thinking for a long time before answering. "That works but i want two officers outside Ray's door." That was all Yuno said before he turned his back and went to sit back next to his sister. Buddha took that as a sign to usher everyone out of the room knowing Yuno couldn't handle anything else tonight and whatever else had to be dealt with could be handled tomorrow. Yuno just sat there in silence waiting for everyone to leave the room before whispering one last thing to Ray. " I know we weren't as close as we should have been when you came to the city the first time, but now I have a chance to change that and I promise to do right by you this time Ray." With that Yuno sat back and stared at the door. He wouldn't be getting any sleep tonight.
