Chapter Twenty

RANDY'S P.O.V

Randy sat there silently for at least two minutes before Ray got frustrated. "Are you going to talk or are you just going to sit there." Ray said. "Look Ray, I will tell you everything but some of the things that went down are the worst choices I have ever made, and it won't be pleasant to hear." Randy said trying to get Ray to change her mind, so he doesn't have to explain. " I already said I don't care how bad it gets I want to know what happened to cause no one to look for me." Ray said as tears of frustration started to slip down her cheeks. "Fine, but it is best to start with the day we met. You still remember that right." Randy asked trying to see how far she remembers. "Yeah, I hopped in your car when Officer Gary Berry was getting too noisy and then when he followed us, we stabbed him." Ray said like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Do you remember what happened after at Burger Shot?" Randy asked again not even really knowing himself where he was going with just wanting to drag out this explanation, so he didn't have to talk about all the ugliness' in their last few days. " Yeah, we changed clothes and went to Burger Shot where we met Autumn and then Yuno showed up and tried to out to the cops. I don't understand what this has to do with anything though." Ray was starting to get really confused. " That is when I realized that you would be my ride or die, even if it took me way longer to admit that out loud to people. You were willing to disown your own twin for some guy you just met out of your sense of loyalty." Randy smiled as he remembered the day, he and Ray Mond came into each other's life.

"From that day on we talked almost every day and I watched as you grew in the city. I was with you for your first house robbery, the first time you used thermite at a bank, the first time you raced, and I was the one who officially gave you your CG chain." Randy said stopping for a moment to reminisce in the good memories they had together. "So, what happened then, because it sounded like we were super close. " Ray asked now incredibly confused by what could have happened to make them be on bad terms. The smile on Randy's immediately dropped to a haunted look as he now goes through all the bad. " Like Ramee said people started noticing how close we were and couldn't keep their noises out of our fucking business. I can also admit that when you started dating Tommy and I wasn't your first call anymore when you need help or just wanted to talk or when you learned how to do new things it wasn't me teaching you." Randy sat there shocked that he actually said that out loud. He could tell be the look on Ramee's face is that he was also astounded that Randy was being this open. 

Randy ran his fingers threw his hair; he noticed how quiet Ray had gotten. " Everything going on with the other people pot stirring our relationship was what I thought caused a rift between us. Then we had the whole-body pillow situation and when I didn't stick up for you with the boys, I saw something break in your eyes and that same day I was confronted by Tommy because he thought I had feelings for you and was going to try to come between you two like I did with Raymond Romanov. " Randy said stopping for a moment not wanting to get into the final part of this explanation. When Randy looked at Ray, she had a look of hurt and confusion on her face and Randy was hoping this last part didn't destroy what little relationship they had built together. 

"Are you sure you want to continue Ray this last part is really ugly and if you want, we can continue at a later time." Randy said trying to get out of crushing her spirit. "No, I want to know everything that happened. I already told you not to leave anything out." Ray said, but Randy could clearly see the tears welled up in her eyes that she was trying to hold back. Randy sighed before starting again. " Like I said the whole gang thing and Tommy situation happened in the same day and we were already in a rocky place. That night I was with a friend named Lexi and she listened to me let out my frustrations. At that time, I had no Idea she was trying to separate Tommy and you because she wanted him. She told me that it sounded like you were using me to get Tommy and other things. At that point I don't know what took over me. I called you I said some really harsh words and cussed at you before hanging up not letting you get a word in before hanging up. You were spamming my phone with calls and texts, but I chose to ignore all of them, at some point I got a call from Ramee saying that you were a mess high of drugs and drunk. I finally decided to answer after that to make sure you wouldn't hurt yourself, but we got into an argument again and I used all the pot stirrers to my advantage and told you how literally everyone you were close to, Taco, Tommy, Ramee, April, and even Yuno, all said you were using me. After I said that I heard your voice break, but I kept going calling you horrible names until you finally hung up the call. " Randy stopped talking as he let that sink into Ray. He watched as tears poured down her eyes. He felt almost as heartbroken as when he woke up the next morning and realized she was gone, and he would never get to apologies for all the hurt he caused her that night. 

They all just sat there in silence, while Ray cried at what her past self-had been through. She couldn't remember anything they talked about, but she felt all the emotions that she assumed she felt that day when everyone she loved betrayed her. Randy was about to speak again but they were interrupted by the loud sound of gunfire going of across the street. Ramee and Randy ran out the door on instinct to see what happened not even noticing the look of terror across Ray's face as she was sat frozen in her spot.

A few hours earlier

Max's P.O.V

Max woke up this morning feeling better today than he has in the last few days since he didn't have any nightmares last night. Max got out of bed got ready for the day and ate breakfast before he checked his phone for the first time that morning. What he saw had his stomach turning and he was starting to regret having such a big breakfast. Max had a message from an unknown number, and it said: You thought I was gone but now the game is back on. The next message was a video of Ray's torture and what Max saw had him racing towards the bathroom as his breakfast wouldn't stay down anymore. Once Max's nerves had settled down, he picked up his phone and sent the person a message back: I'm not scared of you this time I will take this video to the cops. Max sent the message and the response he got back sent chills up his spine. If you don't want your boss hurt again, you're going to do as I say and just to prove I can get to her whenever I want, here is a more recent video. This video was time stamped forty-five minutes ago and it was of Ray sleeping in her bed at the CB Manor. Max decided to call Yuno but was interrupted by his phone ringing from the unknown number. Max picked up the phone "What do you want? Why can't you just leave her alone?" Max asked trying to keep his voice steady. The voice on the other side of the phone came through distorted. "She belongs to me so I can do whatever I please, but if you want to keep her safe you will follow my instructions. I believe you have enough evidence to prove I can get to her whenever I please." The guy said with a dark chuckle at the end. "What do you want me to do then?" Max asked knowing whatever it was wouldn't be good. "You will find a package in your mailbox. I want you to take it to Chief Bass and give him the contents of the box. You have two hours to complete this task. If you tell anybody about this or don't complete your task, there will be consequences." The voice said and then he hung up.

Max felt his whole body drop to the floor. He knew that he needed to tell somebody, but he also didn't want anything else happen to Ray. Max got up and went to check his mail, maybe the package wouldn't be too horrible, and he could do it without too bad consequences. When he opened the package, he knew this would only get worse as he saw photo after photo of CG doing illegal stuff around Little Seoul. Max knew bringing this to the cops would put him in deep shit, but he had to give Ray whatever protection he could. Max took the package Walked out of his apartment and drove to the police station. Max was so lost in thought he missed the person who was watching him leave his apartment and followed him to the police station.

 Hi lovelies this chapter made me cry as I was writing it. There is a gun fight outside, Ray was left alone, and Max is being black mailed. Are these all connected or separate events. what will happen to Ray now that she is alone for the first time. Find all of this out in the next chapter.
