Chapter Sixteen

Joe's P.O.V

Joe drove away from the crash scene just as another car was pulling to a stop. The person was so focused on the crash that the person didn't even notice Joe. Joe had the biggest smile on his face as he started driving towards Pillbox Hospital. He knew that word would somehow get back to Ray and she would come check on Tommy. Joe was also ecstatic because he got rid of the only person who could recognize him and ruin his plans. Joe pulled up across the street from the hospital and parked so he could see everything happen without getting noticed by anyone. 

Joe watched as the ambulance pulled up and the doctors rushed into the hospital. He watched as everyone close to Tommy pulled up and had looks of terror or distraught on their faces. Joe let out a small laugh. He didn't care either way if Blue's Clues died as long as he was out of the way long enough for Ray to come back to him. But Joe knew that if Tommy died it would help tremendously to separate her from the people that might otherwise try to help her. Joe pulled out his camera and started taking pictures of all the distraught people. The car Joe was waiting for finally pulled up. Yuno had brought his sister to the hospital. Joe was actually surprised he thought Yuno would hold his ground a bit longer.

Joe watched as Yuno left Ray in the car and ran inside. Joe got out of his car to get a closer look at her and see how close he could get. Just as Joe was about to cross the street, he noticed someone walk up to the car. Joe stopped walking and hid in the shadows of a building. Joe watched as a look of pure terror covered Ray's face. This caused a fiery rage and jealousy to spread inside Joe. No one else should be able to see Ray make that face. That expression should be reserved only for him. Only he deserves to see Ray at her weakest.  Joe also couldn't let the moment pass to capture a picture of Ray looking so captivating. Joe took out his camera and took a few pictures of Ray. Yuno finally came out and calmed down his sister, leaving Joe disappointed. 

Joe walked back to his car not wanting to risk staying and getting caught. Joe got in his car and looked back through all his pictures. Joe felt excitement rush through him as he looked at Ray's pictures again. He knew it was time for the next part of his plan. Joe pulled out his phone and sent a message off to April. (Hey, April, it is Joe the guy who hit your car. I'm free tomorrow if you want to meet to talk about payment to get your car fixed). Joe had done his research and knew April couldn't refuse if he mentioned giving her money. Getting close to the best friend was the easiest way for him to get info about Ray without causing suspicion since April made friends with anyone who gave her money.  Joe drove off home ready for the next day to come.

Yuno's P.O.V

Yuno woke up in the morning exhausted all the drama from the last few days were really taking a toll on him, but he had to be strong for his sister. Who knows what will happen if he drops guard. When you finally got downstairs, he noticed Buddha, Tony, and Mickey talking in hushed voices in the kitchen. Whatever they were talking about had them so distracted they didn't even notice Yuno come closer. Yuno was going to ignore them and head straight to check on Ray until he heard Mickey. "I don't think we tell Yuno, if he knows things will only get worse." Mickey said. the group was still oblivious to Yuno standing behind them. "What don't you want to tell me, it better not have anything to do with my sister." Yuno said furious that they were still trying to keep things from him.

The whole group spun around to face him. " Look Yuno we don't want to add any more stress to your plate until we have facts." Buddha said trying to convince Yuno to let it go. "Does it have anything to do with Ray?" Yuno said knowing they would try to lie to him. "We don't know if it does or doesn't yet, that's why we didn't tell you." Tony said. Hearing Tony and Buddha try to lie to him made Yuno's rage bubble up to the surface. All Yuno had to do to get Mickey to spill was look him in the eyes. Mickey felt Yuno's rage through his look and couldn't keep his mouth shut. "Last night when we were at the hospital and Ray was having her panic attack, I noticed flashing from across the street. I didn't think much of it then, but it look like someone was taking pictures and the flash was from the camera. I was telling Buddha and Tony about it first before you so we could look into it more and know for sure if the guy was there. I'm sorry Yuno." Mickey said not able to keep anything in,

Yuno's emotions went from rage to worry and panic, so he turned around and rushed to Ray's room. When he opened the door and saw her sleeping in the bed peacefully, he felt relief sweep through him. Yuno closed the door not wanting to bother her if she was sleeping without a nightmare. He walked back over to the group who had now migrated to the couches. "So, you're telling me the guy who did this was at the hospital and no one noticed." Yuno said trying to calm himself back down. "We don't know for sure if it is him or not, but we are going to try to get the security and street camera footage. We might need you to hack those though." Buddha said trying ease Yuno's mind at least a little. " This does leave us with a different concern though if it was him." Tony said trying not to worry too much if it isn't necessary. " What do you mean?" Yuno asked. He was confused how does knowing it is the kidnapper change the meaning of what happened last night. Yuno looked at Tony waiting for him to continue.

Tony took in a deep breathe before speaking again. "If the guy from last night was taking pictures and is the same person that hurt Ray it means a few things we should be concerned with. First of all, he was there before you showed up which means that he knew you were going to be there and that you would bring Ray. Second Mickey said there were at least three or four minutes where she was alone in the car. If the guy was across the street but didn't do anything that means taking Ray back isn't his only plan for her." Tony said stopping to let that sink in. Everyone in the room saw as the emotions kept flashing through Yuno's face, worry, rage, fear. and the biggest one helplessness. No one spoke up so Tony continued speaking. "This next concern brings the first to concerns together. If he knew you would go to the hospital and didn't attempt to make contact with Ray, that means there is a chance that he didn't hurt Tommy to keep his mouth shut, but as a way to get Ray out of the house or just as a way to upset her. We heard from Bass this morning that Tommy had given him a statement and suspects in the morning, so if his goal was to silence Tommy would have done it soon. I'm pretty sure he tried to kill Tommy just to hurt Ray." Tony said taking a deep breathe before continuing. " My last concern is that the guy was at the hospital before you which means it either is smart enough to plan all of this out to perfection and has studied us enough to know our reactions to things or he has help from either someone or something to know what you are doing. " Tony said finishing his explanations.  "So, you're saying this guy is a mastermind because no one in this house is betraying me and there is no one he could bug our place, so both those options are out." Yuno said trying to comprehend all this new info. " What we are saying is we need the videos before we can come to any conclusions." Buddha said trying to ease Yuno's mind.

Their conversation was interrupted by the door to Ray's room opening. "We will finish this conversation later." Yuno said before he got up to help his sister. As Yuno watched his sister struggling to just stand up against the wall and all the bruises covering her body his thought started to race again. If this guy is smart enough to know their every move and he doesn't care if he has to murder people just to glimpse at his sister maybe Los Santos isn't safe enough. Yuno doesn't know how much more he can handle before he just takes his sister and vanishes. He didn't care if he had to uproot both their life's as long as she was safe. Yuno decides that it was time for him to form a backup plan for them, but he was going to keep this to himself. Once Ray was comfortably on the couch Yuno pulled out his phone and made a phone call, he didn't think he would ever make after moving to Los Santos.
