Chapter Fourteen

Randy's P.O.V

Randy was currently in third place for the race. He was surprised though because he hadn't seen first or second place since the starting lap.  When Randy turned the corner and his placement changed to first he was even more confused because he didn't pass anybody, or at least that is what he thought until he looked out his rear view mirror. Randy immediately slammed on his brakes and made a U turn and headed toward the crushed purple R8. Randy rushed out of the car towards the wreckage looking for Tommy. Randy finally found Tommy laying  half out the car with a pool of blood coming from him.

Randy immediately pulled out his phone and called 911. Then he jumped onto the radio. " The race is over. Cg and Mandem need to head to Pillbox." That was all Randy said before putting the radio away and dragging Tommy out of the crushed car. Once Tommy was all the way out Randy noticed the bullet hole in his chest. Randy felt overwhelming rage at this. Who would use a memorial race for Ray to take out a vendetta with Tommy.  "Tommy, Tommy come on man talk to me. We just got Ray back we can't lose you now. Who did this to you man? " Randy said trying to get any indication from him he was alive or breathing. Tommy started coughing up blood as he opened his eyes. " It was him, he isn't dead Randy, it was..." Tommy was interrupted by another coughing fit before he could finish. The ambulance finally arrived and took Tommy away to the hospital. Randy watched them dive away.

Randy pulled out his phone and called Adam as he walked to his car. The phone rang for a little bit before Adam picked up.  "Hey man we are at the hospital waiting. What happened and where are you at?" Adam asked. " Someone shot Tommy he is in bad shape man." Randy said "What do you mean Tommy was shot? Who did it? Adam asked.  " I don't know what happened. He is on the way to Pillbox now i will meet everyone there after I change. He was talking nonsense about some dead guy who isn't dead. Maybe once he gets there you can talk to him and get some idea of what he was talking about." Randy says. " Ok i have to go update the boys we will see you soon." Adam said. Randy hung up and headed to go change before making one more stop before the hospital.

Buddha's P.O.V

Buddha was woken up by a banging on the door. When he got downstairs he saw Yuno and April asleep on the couch. He was glad that they were finally sleeping. After what happened the last two days they really need the rest. The banging on the door kept going so Buddha went to answer the door. He wasn't expecting to see Randy at the door at three in the morning. "What are you doing here Randy? You know Yuno doesn't want you around." Buddha told to Randy. " I know I am not supposed to see her or be here, but something happened tonight and I just really need to see Ray and make sure she is ok." Randy said with an almost broken sound to his voice. 

Buddha stepped outside and closed the door so that the conversation wouldn't wake up the people on the couch. "What happened tonight. I know Tony and Raymond came back from the races early. They didn't say what happened at the race though." Buddha said worried about ehat happened. "We think someone ran Tommy off the road and shot him. No one knows who did it or why. He kept talking about some guy that was supposed to be dead but wasn't. Nothing he said when I found him made a lot of sense. Buddha sighed and ran his hand through his hair. After Ray's episode Yuno had filled him and the rest of the boys in on all of the info from Ray's assistant. Buddha knew Yuno wasn't going to like this, but Randy really needed to be filled in if this is what Buddha thought it was. 

"Come in we will talk inside, but keep your voice down so Yuno doesn't hear you. They are sleeping on the couch." Buddha told Randy as he opened the door and led Randy to the room Ray was sleeping in. "You can sit with her while we talk, we heard a few things today from Ray's assistant Max. " Buddha went on to explain everything he had learned today about Ray's disappearance. Buddha saw the emotions that crossed Randy's face, first it was pure rage and then grief and sorrow, but the last emotion that crossed Randy's face was blame. "If Tommy was talking about a guy that is supposed to be dead, then the person who shot him and the person who tortured Ray is the same person." Buddha said. "But why did he go after Tommy what is the point." Asked Randy. "From what I know the only people who probably know this guys name were Tommy and Ramee. If he wants to stay hidden he would have to cut all the loose ends of people who know his face and name." Buddha said. Before they could say anything else they heard Ray's voice. 

" The guy who hurt me also hurt someone else. What happened?" She asked. " Ray I think it is best we talk about this after I talk to Yuno" Buddha said trying to push off the conversation until later. "No, Buddha I want to know what you are talking about now." Ray said holding her ground. "I'm sorry Ray but I think I need to talk to Yuno before we discuss this with you." Buddha said trying to get her to drop it. Ray turns to look at Randy. " You will tell me won't you Randy." Ray said shocking the both of them.  "You remember who I am?" Randy asked. "One of the few memories I have is us stabbing  a cop together and you teaching me how to be a criminal." Ray said.

 This left Randy so stunned that he couldn't refuse her. "Well um Ray... Raymundo, our friend Tommy was rammed off the road and shot. We believe it was the same person who hurt you." Randy said as gently as possible. "Why did he go after Tommy, were we super close or something? Does Tommy know something?" Ray asked confused. "Tommy is one of the only few people that knows who the guy is. It could also be because Tommy was your boyfriend." Randy said hoping Ray wouldn't take this to badly. Buddha noticed that Ray's heart monitor spiking and tried to calm her down before the noise woke Yuno. "Ray relax it is fine Tommy is going to be fine and when he wakes up we will find out who the guy is who hurt you both. "So you are telling me that my captor shot my boyfriend the same day I got out of the hospital and I am not supposed to worry." Ray's monitor started beeping louder and her breathing started breathing erratically. Before Buddha could even try to calm Ray down the doors to the room where thrown open and  Yuno was standing in the doorway. Yuno took one look around the room and when he saw Randy, rage engulfed Yuno's face. Buddha knew this wasn't going to end well.
