𝓗𝓮𝓻 𝓕𝓪𝓷 - Chapter 7: Guest Of Honor

It's been months. Ji-Woon kept his word when he said he'd stay in contact. Irene always waited for him to message her, concerned that she'd interrupt during work or something. She kept the conversations light, unsure what to discuss. Whenever they weren't talking, she'd go back to streaming games on Twitch and uploading small clips of each session to Tik Tok.

"How's it going?" He texted her.

Responding, "Fine. I guess."

"Still rather lonely?"

"Yeah."

Irene put her phone down after a minute of silence. Thinking he was probably busy again. Boy, she was wrong. The screen lit up as a custom ringtone played. Why is he calling me? She found it suspicious but picked it up anyway.

"Hey, I've decided to make you my guest of honor at my final performance."

Irene frowned, saddened by the news. His fans slowly left him as he tried to create something new. Separate from the band NO SPIN. "There's no way out of this? It's final?"

She heard him sigh deeply over the phone. "Yeah. This will be my last time on stage. -and that's why I want you to be there! Will you come?"

"Well," she rubbed the back of her head, "I can't afford a ticket to Korea. -and I'm confident I'll get lost. I can't-"

"Don't worry about anything," Ji-Woon cut her off. "I'll pay for it and have someone escort you all along the way." He smirked, "Besides, wouldn't you just love to see me again in person?"

"Yes." She let out a shaky breath. "-but I've never done anything like this before."

"Don't worry about it," he reassured. "I'll even have someone take you to the airport in America."

The girl sighed, feeling defeated. "Fine." She could've sworn she heard him squeal in excitement.

"Thank you, darling. I'll keep in touch. Make sure to pack for 3 days."

"Yes, I will."

"Oh! I gotta go. Talk later. Bye." He hung up.

"Weird but ok."
