Chapter 7: Battle of New York Part 1

We keep looking at Stark Industries and Peter says, "We need to get back up there!". We look up at the portal as we see more Chitauri and a gigantic, flying, space worm thing come through it. Chitauri shoots from the sides of the space worm and grab on to the buildings. We hear the com come on and we hear Steve asks, "Stark, you seeing this?". "Seeing, still working on believing" we hear Tony say to Steve. "Where's Banner has he shown up yet?" Tony asks Steve. "Banner?" Steve asks back looking confused. "Just keep me posted" Tony says and the coms go off. Some of the Chitauri jump down from the buildings and land on the concreate.

Steve, Natasha, and Clint hide behind a taxi and both me and Peter hide behind the car next to them. "We've got civilians trapped" Clint says and Steve looks over the car to see if there was a way to get the civilians to safety. "Loki" he says as Loki's hovercraft fly over us. My hands light on fire and as I'm about to throw it at the hovercraft, Peter stops me. "We'll deal with him later. Our priority right now is to get those civilians to safety, ok, Alli" he says and I nod. Chitauri start to blast everything around Midtown and we see civilians running for their lives. "They're fish in a barrel down there" Steve says looking at the civilians. Just then a blast of an energy bolt comes straight at us. Steve dodges and Peter grabs me and we crouch behind the car again.

Natasha starts to shoot at them with her guns and ducks behind the car again. Clint rushes over to where we are and Natasha says, "We got this, it's alright, you three go". "You think you handle them? Steve asks them looking at Nat then at Clint. "Captain," Clint begins to say attaching one of his arrows to an arrow tip, "It'd be my genuine pleasure". He grabs one of his arrows and aims it at a Chitauri's head. "Good enough for me" I say to Steve and he takes off running. I look at Peter and he doesn't need to tell me to hold on. I grab onto his neck and he grabs my waist. He shoots a web and we swing over to where Cap is headed while Chitauri shoot at us. "Who knew he could be so fast!" Peter says to me while swinging. "He has super soldier serum in his DNA, of course he's gonna be fast" I reply to him. Cap starts to fight off some Chitauri and we land and help him. I turn invisible and walk up to a Chitauri I throw a fire ball at it incinerating its head and the body falls to the ground.

I reveal myself and throw rocks at some of the Chitauri's heads, fire balls, ice shards, and drown them in water. I levitate a few of them and bash their heads onto the sides of the buildings. Next thing you know is that Steve starts to run and we run with him covering him from behind. He jumps on top of the car hood and looks at the cops. I was on Steve's left while Peter was on his right then Steve starts to talk to the cops, "You need men in these buildings." he begins motioning toward the buildings and panting. "There could be people inside and they could be running right into the line of fire. You take them to the basements or the subways, you keep them off the streets." he says to the cops as they look at each other confused. "I need a perimeter as far as 39th." he says again motioning that way. "Why the hell should I take orders from you?" he asks Steve, then an explosion goes off. I light my hands with fire and see Chitauri headed straight for us. One tries to shoot Steve but he blocks it with his shield. One lands in front of him and another behind. I turn back and see two headed for me. I throw a fire ball at one missing by a bit and then I use ice shards. Little daggers of ice stab the Chitauri and one manages to grab me from behind. I light my hand on fire and throw it at its foot, it winces and lets me go. I spin and throw a fire ball at it's head turning it into ash. All three of us stand there not looking at the cops and I can tell by his voice that he's scared and kind of impressed.

He repeats what Steve says and I look at the two boys in front of me. "Shall we have a little fun boys?" I say with a smirk lighting my hands up again. They both nod and Peter swings off at least 10 feet in front of us. Me and Steve stay back fighting Chitauri coming at us. I incinerate a few of them and I stab some with ice shards. Steve runs back to where Clint and Natasha are and I follow him. Peter follows us and when we get there I make an ice sword and start stabbing the Chitauri's. Then out of nowhere lightning zaps them and they fall to the ground. Thor lands in front of us and we walk over to him. "What's the story upstairs?" Steve asks him as he puts his shield on his arm. "The power surrounding the cube is impenetrable" Thor replies looking at Steve. "Thor's right, we've gottta deal with these guys" Tony says through the com. I look over to Peter and he looks at me, "How do we do this?" I ask looking back to Steve. "As a team" Steve says looking at the tons of Chitauri. "I have unfinished business with Loki" Thor says. "Yeah, well get in line" Clint says twisting an arrow tip on an arrow. "As long as I get him first" I say to them. "Save it" Steve begins to say to us walking and we all stare at him, "Loki's gonna keep this fight on us and that's what we need. Without him these things can run wild. We got Stark on top he's gonna need us to-". Just then we hear a motor and we see Bruce riding an old motorcycle.

We all walk towards him and he says, "So, this all seems horrible". "I've seen worse Natasha says to him. "Sorry" Bruce says to her and I swear they had a little moment. "No, we could use a little worse" she says to him and he raises his eyebrows and looks at her. "Stark we got him" Steve says into the com. "Banner?" Tony asks Steve. "Just like you said" Steve says to Tony again. "Then tell him to suit up. I'm bringing the party to you" Tony says to us and Natasha gives him a com. Just then we see Tony fly in with the giant space worm behind him. We all look at it and I light my hands on fire, Thor gets his hammer ready and all the guys get into position. "I don't see how that's a party" Nat says staring at the space worm behind Tony. Bruce looks back at us and starts to walk up to the space worm. "Dr. Banner, now might be a good time for you to get angry" Steve says him. "That's my secret, Cap" Bruce begins to say to him stopping in the middle, "I'm always angry". Just then Bruce starts to turn into the Hulk and he punches the space worm on the nose making the worm's tail go up. "Hold on" Tony says and shoots a missile at the worm and I lift the earth covering us and Peter grabs me and holds me close to him covering us both. Steve covers himself and Natasha with his shield, Clint takes cover behind a car, and Thor covers his head with his hand as the giant space worm blows up.

As the debris dies down I lower the chunk of earth and there were a bunch of Chitauri around us. Peter lets go of my waist and stands and I light my hands on fire. We all stand in a circle me in between Peter and Steve. Next to Steve is Natasha, then Thor, Clint, Hulk, and in the middle is Tony who then lands in between Natasha and Steve. Then we look up at the portal and see more giant space worms come out and Chitauri on hovercrafts. "Guys " Natasha says and the rest look over to the portal. "Call it, Captain" Tony says to Steve as he walks toward the front and I diminish my flames.

"Alright, listen up. Until we can close that portal, our priority's containment. Barton, I want you on that roof eyes on everything call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter, anything gets out 3 blocks you turn it back or you turn it to ash." Steve begins to say.

"Wanna give me a lift?" Clint asks Tony.

"Right, better clench up, legolas" Tony says to him and he grabs him by the collar and they take off.

"Thor, you gotta try to bottleneck the portal, slow them down. You got the lightning, light the bastards up." Steve says to Thor and he spins his hammer and flies off.

"Parker, help Stark out as much as you can" he says to Peter and he kisses me through the mask and swings off.

"The three of us are gonna stay on the ground, we keep the fighting here." he says to me and Natasha.

"And, Hulk," he begins to say pointing at him and Hulk turns to face him and grunts a little, "smash" Hulk smiles and jumps with a roar smashing Chitauris. We see Thor's lightning on the Empire State building and hit the portal frying some Chitauris and one giant space worm. Some of the Chitauris pass and we get into position. Steve has his shield ready, Natasha with her guns, and I light my hands on fire again. I see a hovercraft headed towards us and I unite the two fire balls in my hands making one big one and throw it at the hovercraft blowing it up. More land in front of us and I make a ice daggers in my hand. 'Good luck, Pete' I say to him through mind telepathy. 'Good luck to you too, Alli' he says to me and I smile and throw an ice dagger at the Chitauri's head. One appears behind me and I push it back with my telekinesis and Natasha shoots it.
