Chapter 15: Ward's Sneaky Little Tricks

*Alli's POV*

Me and Peter walk to the prison cells where Ward was being held and we see that everyone is there. "You ready?" Natasha asks and I nod and walk in the cell. I stare at Ward and he smirks at me, "If you're here to get more information on Hydra, I'm not gonna say anything" he says to me. "Oh, don't worry, we got all the information we need. What we wanna know is who sent you here and why?" I ask. He smirks evilly and chuckles, "If you wanna know who sent me, why don't you just read my mind?" he says and I glare at him.

"How do you know my power?" I ask him.

"I know all of your powers and every single Avenger and what they can do." he says

"Tell me who sent you and why?!" I yell lifting him from his seat with my telekinesis.

"Never in a million years!" he says.

I pin him against a wall and read his mind. I see him and a man with a monocle walking and talking. "You will infiltrate Avengers tower and bring back the one thing I need" the man with the monocle says. Then a sonic wave hits me snapping me out of Ward's mind and I fall to the ground, screaming. I can barely hear the door open and Peter screaming my name and I feel someone pick me up and I black out.

I wake up in a room I'm not too familiar with and see Peter to my left sleeping and holding my hand. I smile and pull my hand away from his and lightly shake him awake. He wakes up and looks at me with wide eyes and a smile. "Hey" I say sitting up and smiling. "Hey" he responds grabbing my hand. "What happened to me in that room? All I remember is reading Ward's mind then a headache and blacking out." I say. "After that Steve picked you up and Clint talked to Ward. Steve laid you here in the infirmary and Bruce was checking to see if you were alright." he says. I look down and try to remember what I read in Ward's mind. "I think I remember what I saw in Ward's mind" I say to Peter and I look at him.

"What'd you see?" he asks me.

"I saw a man with a monocle telling him that he would infiltrate Avengers tower and bring back the one thing he needs."

"What else did he say?"

"I don't know, I was out of his mind by then."

I look at him and he says, "I'll tell Steve. Get some rest, you need it". "Wait, Peter, what did Bruce say when he was checking to see if I was fine?" I ask him. "He said that you were fine. He didn't find anything wrong" he responds and I nod. Peter kisses me and leaves the room. I'm alone in the room and I think back to the interrogation. I remember what I saw in Ward's mind and think about what the man in the monocle said. What's the one thing he wanted here in Avengers tower? Files? Weaknesses on us? I get tired of waiting for Peter and I get up and walk out.

I walk into the elevator and head to the prison cells. When I get there I don't see anyone around, but only Ward in his cell. I walk into his cell and he smirks at me, "Enjoyed my little trick?" he asks me. "Why, what did you do?" I ask him crossing my arms. "Let's just say..." he begins to say and I feel some one grab me and cover my mouth. "It was a little signal that was sent to my back up and it also shut down the security system" he finishes and I narrow my eyes. I light my hands on fire ready to throw a fire ball, but he cuffs me and the fire in my hands go out. "Those cuffs cut you off from using your powers. Your gonna come with me and if you yell anything I swear we'll hurt your friends and your little boyfriend" he says to me and I relax and nod.

He walks us to the roof of the tower and they throw me inside the helicopter. "You're an asshole, you know that" I say to him as I get off the floor and sit in a seat. "Watch it, I can still hurt your boyfriend" he says and I lean back on my chair. We fly away from the tower and I watch as we fly farther and farther away. I can just imagine Peter walking into the infirmary room and not finding me laying in the bed. He'll worry and tell Clint, Natasha, Steve, and the others. We land in a warehouse outside of Midtown and they pull me up and drag me to a white room. They sit me on a black chair and take the cuffs off. I try to run but they pin me to the chair and pin my arms on the arm rests. Metal cuffs hold me there and I try to use my powers to get out to no avail. "Stop trying, this will cancel your powers just like the cuffs." the man in the monocle says.
