Once Madelyn was changed into the clothes Annette had given her, Annette was very excited to show her little sister how much she had missed making memories with her over all those years. She showed her pictures of her as a baby and one of Annette playing with her.
Their mother loved to document.
A trait about her that is quite odd considering how much of a secretive man her husband was.
Martin Brenner and Grace Brenner did in fact love each other very much.
Grace was a high end scientist that made many discoveries over the years.
Subsequently enough, looking at what had ended up happening, Grace was originally the one who pondered the mystery if people could possibly perform psychological abilities.
Such as reaching into the minds of others and talking to them.
It was when she expressed to her husband her curiosity that their marriage started to crumble within itself.
Martin was wonderfully surprised when his wife came to him with the idea to start a new experiment, together.
Annette adored her mother, she believed in everything she did.
Their mother was truly an amazing human being who loved everyone and everything. Which is what, in Annette's mind, led to her loving her bastard of a father. Someone who she thought never deserved to be with such an amazing person while he was such a monstrosity himself. He didn't care. He only really cared if he got something out of it.
It was true that Annette personally never had a good relationship with her father, even before Madelyn was born he showed some interest when she was able to do something that normal people can't nor should be able to do, but it wasn't a kind of relationship where he would do anything for her.
At first, when Madelyn was born, she had a great detest for her. The baby had the man that never truly loved Annette wrapped all around her small fingers.
She overheard a conversation her mother and him had before he murdered her that Madelyn showed so much more signs of potential, unlike Annette.
Overtime she came to realize that Madelyn was in the same terrible predicament as she was. So, when her mother told her one night she is leaving Brenner and taking her and Madelyn somewhere safe where the three of them can live happily without interference from the man, she was over the moon ecstatic.
That was until her mother was murdered in front of her eyes. Madelyn was in her mothers arms when she dropped to the ground dead and Annette had little time to mourn as she ran as fast as she could.
This was the time to escape.
The time to be free.
From him.
But she left her sister behind. With the man she despises.
It took time to infiltrate the lab she was practically raised in but she did. She rescued her sister and that horrible man is never going to look for her, because he doesn't care.
Unbeknownst to her that "horrible" man was going to get his youngest back, despite what his eldest believed.
No matter what it took.

Madelyn
"So, I was thinking that you can meet some of the people that worked to help save you," Annette said with a sense of pride in her voice.
