Ada's POV

It was a few hours later, the drinkers had crashed in the living room, falling in and out of sleep while they all waited for their taxis to collect them. I gathered the glasses from across the house, before cleaning and putting them away. Once I had finished, I took a peek outside, seeing Aaron grabbing the last bits of rubbish scattered across the grass from where we ate a large supply of Chinese food earlier.

I stepped outside, walking over to him with my hands out, "I can sort those, it's your birthday after all."

He shook his head, stubbornly holding onto them as he walked past me, "And you're the guest." He sorted the rubbish into piles as I watched him, leaning on the kitchen counter.

After a few minutes, I stood up straight, strolling to the open doors and looking up at the sky. "Do you know star constellations?" I asked him randomly as I studied the patterns.

"Some yes," He responded, washing his hands then walking over and standing behind me, "I was a bit of a nerd for space as a child."

"Can you point some out to me?" I turn around and ask, he nods, taking my hand and walking me down towards the grass. To my surprise, he sits on the floor and lays on the grass, pulling me down with him. I look up at the sky, his arm going around me as I place my head on his chest.

He grabs my finger, pointing it upwards and tracing a zig-zag pattern of stars, "That one, is Cassiopeia. Named after the Greek Queen Cassiopeia, who boasted about her unrivalled beauty."

"And that one," He takes my finger slightly to the left, I squint to see where he is drawing my finger across the bright stars, "is Draco."

"Like Malfoy?" I laugh, "My father will hear about this."

Aaron chuckled, "Well Draco is Latin for dragon; but is associated with one of the 12 labours of Heracles, wherein the myth, Draco represents Ladon, the dragon that guarded the golden apples in the garden of the Hesperides."

I looked up at him with a shocked expression, "Jesus, you're like really smart."

He shrugged, "Okay, so I was a big nerd for space."

I laughed, cuddling closer to his side as a cold autumn breeze swept over us. We stayed quiet like this for a few moments before I braved the question that had been on my tongue since the dance, "Did you mean what you said?"

He looked down at me on his chest, "What did I say?"

I gulped down my nerves, "That you were falling in love with me."

I felt his heartbeat quicken from beneath my head before he lifted my chin with his fingers to look at him, a small smile on his face, "Ada, I fell a long time ago; I don't think I'll ever stand again."
