It were that exciting time of year again. 

Halloween! 

You knew they celebrated it a little differently down here in the Devildom; seeing as it were more of a birthday celebration for Lord Diavolo.

The demon brothers decided they wanted to continue incorporating human world ideas into the fun as a way to accommodate you. You always told them it weren't necessary but it were still very thoughtful.

 This year after one of the student council meetings it was decided that one week prior to Diavolo's birthday RAD would put on another Halloween themed house for all the denizens to enjoy; this time hopefully without the cursed objects.

Not that it were planned but one could never be too careful after what happened with the mysterious tampered masks.

Things in the Devildom still felt strange however..

It were for a different reason altogether.

The seven brothers had always been quite protective over you but more recently it felt off; like they knew something you did not and it weren't in their power to do anything about it..

Whatever it were, it had some of them acting bitter or strange. Especially Belphie. He always seemed sour but this annoyed him more than anything.

"Here it is. I brought the costume Barbatos had especially made for you" he grumbled as he handed you the garment bag.

"I don't know why you let him pick your costume this year though.." he mumbled under his breath so you couldn't hear.

"Oh thanks Belphie!" you said back with a smile despite his sour look.

He were already wearing his costume. He were dressed as a mummy this year and had long ribbons of cloth hanging off of him everywhere.

You always loved anything to do with costumes and to your surprise there were endless possibilities for you all to dress up whether it from being sucked into a magical book or a special event such as today.

"You look great Belphie! What is everyone else dressed as?" You asked curiously as you slightly eyed the garment bag. You weren't exactly sure what Barbatos had picked out for you this year. Leading up until now it was a surprise.

"Thanks. I chose a mummy so that I could still act sluggish"

"Beel went as a chef, Asmo is a witch, Mammon chose gangster, Lucifer is a ring master, Satan a scarecrow, and I'm honestly not sure what the hell Levi is supposed to be" he sighed and shook his head tiredly.

You giggled at that last part. "I bet you he looks great you just don't understand it"

"There's a few things I'll never understand" he grumbled annoyedly. He were circling back to whatever was bothering him in the first place but you didn't quite catch on.

"So why did you let Barbatos choose your costume this year?" he asked directly.

"Huh? Oh! It was actually Lord Diavolo's idea" you said thinking back to when you and Purgatory hall were invited over for tea at the Demon lord's castle. You all got to chatting about costume ideas for the upcoming event and the moment Diavolo uncovered how much you loved dressing up he threw out the idea that he could have a special costume made just for you.
