At the dinner table you were a little quieter than usual. You weren't really fully paying attention to anything nor your food.

The demon brothers were in the middle of some argument while you just kind of sat there caught up in your gloom. Satan sighed resting his arm over the back of your chair as he tried to stay out of the matter.

"Y/n are you alright?" he asked furrowing his brows a little. He expected his brothers were likely killing the mood for you right now.

It took you a moment to even hear him before you snapped out of it and nodded.

He studied you worriedly for a moment then accepted with a thin smile.

"If you say so. Well, I'm headed back to my room I suggest you do the same" he gave your shoulder a small squeeze before rising and excusing himself from the table to go read elsewhere.

After a moment of sitting quietly you finally decided to take his advice. It were probably best to be alone right now anyway. You didn't want to demon brothers to see you like this.

You didn't want any of them getting worried. They had enough on their plates.

It helped that they were too distracted by their fight to notice your solemn behaviours. You didn't entirely feel like discussing it either. At least not with them for they wouldn't understand how you were feeling and might even take offense.

While you were out of it a pair of amber eyes followed your form as it disappeared around the corner.

Upon making it to your quarters you shut the door with a low sigh and glanced around your room.

It felt homey. You could tell Lucifer had gone to great extents to make you feel comfortable here. As much as you loved the Devildom every once in a while you really started to miss home and the human world with it..

That feeling of natural sunlight warm against your skin..

Visiting with your friends and family..

Every time you started thinking about home that's when the emotions really began to stir.

You heard the faint knock of someone at your door moments before Asmo stepped in and quietly shut it behind him.

His expression were soft and comforting to your surprise and he didn't cross the floor without your permission.

"May I come in?" he asked quietly.

You felt your lip tremble a little and nodded.

He strode across the floor coming to sit close at your side on the bed.

The room were silent.

You both stared forward and you felt yourself trying to bottle up your emotions but you knew he knew. He always seemed to see right through you.

After a moment you felt his arm come around you pulling you into him.

"It's alright, I'm here" he consoled and you hesitated before giving in and resting your head against his chest. He felt so unbelievably warm and the feeling of him holding you sent an unexpected wave of excitement through your body. At times you wondered when you had begun to feel this way for him..
