Chapter 34

Office re-opened after the Puja holidays on Monday. It' been peaceful and relaxing for me because the seven hours distance from Niall helped me take my mind off of the pregnancy thing. I didn't tell about it to anyone - not even Aryan, and Naina. When I myself wasn't sure of what to do, I didn't want to inform others.

Work has been in full pressure since morning today, and I finally found some relaxation during lunch at the canteen along with Aryan, and surprisingly Naina.

"What are the chances?" I arched my brows, seeing her take a seat with us at a corner table.

Aryan and Naina exchanged fond glances with each other. "Do I need to know anything?" I squinted my eyes.

They kept silent for a few seconds, before Aryan said, "Naina and I have got back together." She smiled, blush filling up her cheeks.

"Jesus Christ," I screamed, covering my mouth. "Really?" my eyes widened.

"Ahh haa, really," Aryan confirmed, taking a look of Naina.

"Oh my God, that's awesome guys. I'm out of the world happy," I smiled widely.

"Thank you," Naina finally spoke, fighting her blush.

For the rest of the lunch, they narrated to me what they did for the Puja vacation and how a date at Nicco Park where they met for the first time many years back brought them back together. The story not only made me happy, but reminded me of last Friday when Niall and I went to the park near my school - where he tried to win me back in the same way Aryan did.

However, the difference was one - while waiting for Naina Aryan didn't ever for once cheat on her even though they weren't together, and it wouldn't have counted as a cheat after all. But Niall did, he did sleep with someone else simply because he was drunk, his love was so palpable that he let his mind get captured by the alcohol, and forget me - our struggle, and promises. And the feeling made me feel so bad- the worst ever that I settled on a decision. I was gonna abort the baby, and I was gonna do it today only.

I walked inside the work space after lunch with Aryan who had a big smile on his lips all the while. I occupied my chair, and gulped down some water from the bottle. I browsed the phone numbers and addresses of some gynecologists near my office before stumbling on one.

I'll see what happens in the future, but for now I can't bear to have his baby. I JUST can't.....

I saved the doctor's number, and address in my phone's memo, and resumed with my work. A train of thoughts rose to my mind, but I convincingly managed to push them aside.

After the office ended, I maintained a happy countenance before Aryan and Naina as we exited the building. However, to my utmost surprise, I saw Niall standing outside. He was wearing his white tee with a red checked shirt over it, and the black skinny jeans. The shades I gifted him covered his eyes.

"Hey, what a surprise?" Aryan said excitedly, and went to hug him.

"Hello, bro. What's up?" Niall smiled back, hugging him.

"Well, I'm great," Aryan looked at Naina, their hands clung together.

"You guys reconciled?"

"Yes."

"That's great, congrats," Niall's voice dropped as he looked at me from the corner of his eyes.

I looked down before Naina said, "Well, we don't wanna be a third and fourth wheel. Have fun."
