Happiness saw no end in me. I smiled like an insane throughout the office. I couldn’t concentrate on work as well and my eyes kept on moving to the clock for it to strike 5.00 Pm. I was accustomed to Niall staying so many miles away from me but now that he was in the same city as me I couldn’t hold my butterflies anymore. All I wanted to do was be with him. A single second’s separation caused me to flip out.

“What’s the matter with you?” Aryan asked as we placed our lunch orders at the canteen.

"Nothing," I smiled and shook my head.

“It has to be something that is making you smile like a crazy maniac,” he raised his eye-brows as our lunch orders arrived.

“Hey…..I’m not a crazy maniac,” I protested as we sat at a table.

“You’ve been talking to Olivia with this smile since morning. It has to be someeethhhiinnnggggg,” he animated. I giggled throwing my head in.

“C’mon, share, share, share,” Aryan urged.

“Calm down. See it for yourself at the end of office,” I took a big bite out of the burger.

“Woohhooo, suspense,” he nodded taking a bite from his sandwich and continued, “Alright, I can wait that long.”

After our lunch we went down to the work-space before returning to our respective chairs again. As soon as I sat my mobile flashed signaling a new message. I unlocked the screen to find that it was from Niall. It read, “As much I’ve missed your stupidity I think you really need to give me the direction to your office if you want me to reach there at 5. I love you by the way.”

I covered my mouth with my left hand as I laughed soundlessly before smacking my head.

“Sorry, honey. Take the metro and get down at Rabindra Sarobar then take an auto-rickshaw and get down at Jadavpur University. Move across the university and start walking. Ask anyone about Orient Advertising, it’s ten minutes walk from there,” I typed in and sent.

“What is with you guys and this Rabindra guy?” he replied.

I laughed before sending, “He is famous globally. He won a nobel prize too, do you know that?”

“Woohhooo, intimidating I reckon, haha.”

“I reckon too. Now let me work, bye. Love you.”

“You’re still the same obedient and boring.”

“Watch your words, Mr. Horan if you don’t want a curfew on sex,” I bit my lower lip after sending the message.

“Curfew accepted. What do you think you can only turn me on?”

“Oh no but I can ONLY turn you on PROPERLY, I guess.”

“Reaaallllyyyyy? How do you know about the other times, baby?”

“The red bites on my back, stomach and thighs are the proofs. I bet other girls would’ve chased you down had you bitten them and not stuck by,” I stifled a laugh.

At this time someone knocked on my table. I lifted my head up still smiling widely as Rohit stood before me. His hands were crossed before his chest and eyes were screaming irritation. I quickly kept my phone away.

“I was just texting my friend. She is sick,” I fiddled with the mouse and clicked on random icons on the desktop. On finding nothing important, I opened a file kept beside the computer.

“I was just going to deal with this,” I said hastily taking the file in my lap now.

After a pause he replied, “I don’t need your fucking explanations, Lily. Get to work before I get too angry to tolerate your shit,” and he stormed off.
