The day finally arrived. It was New Year's Eve and my last day in Calcutta, my hometown. I didn't pay much thought to it due to staying super busy with packing and selling stuff. However, as soon as I woke up in the morning and found the whole apartment empty, a deep pain ran through my system. I don't know how to put it because I was extremely happy about moving to Manchester, but Calcutta was the city where I was born and grew up in and as they say "home is where your heart belongs."

My huge anticipation and excitement about spending Christmas and New Year's with Niall kick started amazingly. First the beautiful Christmas Eve where Niall swept me off my feet for the zillionth time and second, the exciting Christmas Day which turned out to be more of an adventurous one. After visiting the Church, we hit Victoria Memorial, took the tram to Eden Gardens and walked around that area, and then came back to Park Street to have lunch at Peter Cat – one of Calcutta's most renowned restaurants. Aryan and Naina came for dinner after I invited them for that in the morning. As promised, Niall cooked dinner for all of us and I baked my favorite chocolate chip cake. My fiancé picked some very interesting choices for dinner that had both Indian as well as Irish recipes. He made fish fries in Indian style for starters after receiving instructions from me and teamed that up with rosemary and garlic roasted chicken, and creamy colcannon mash (mashed potato with cabbage and salted butter). We didn't want to stuff up our refrigerator with food, so planned to use the cake as dessert.

Naina and Aryan ended up liking all the items that we had to offer except the bed, which they said they want to have a new one. Aryan paid the money online into Niall's account. I closed my account and transferred the entire money that was a lot, by the way; into Niall's account. He suggested I join him in his account after going to Manchester, and I agreed – finding the idea to be pretty decent.

The four of us had stomach aching laughs on 25th December with delicious food cooked by my fiancé. We informed them that we're expecting twins and they literally flipped out in happiness. Niall and I wanted to ask Naina and Aryan if they can make it to our wedding in Manchester, but once they started talking about how shifting to their Lake Gardens' apartment and everything after marriage will be expensive, we ceased. It saddened me to a great deal because I really, really wanted them to be there and Naina especially as my bridesmaid.

We spent the whole morning today, doing last minute packing. As Naina and Aryan didn't take the bed, we couldn't sell it to anyone in such a rush, so yesterday Niall called up the landlord and told him to pay for it to us and use it to gain tenants in the future. We charged 1000 rupees less than what the bed actually cost and the landlord fortunately readily agreed and transferred the money online into Niall's account. The only remaining item was the centre table and we decided to give that away to Kumar without any money in exchange.

I've been having too much pressure both mentally and physically these five days due to the packing. I didn't tell anything to Niall because I didn't want to upset and tense him specifically, being one day shy of setting off on a nearly 14 hour long journey. However, after having lunch today my chest produced this burning sensation and I also puked once – in the absence of Niall's knowledge.

As Naina said that day Niall indeed made plans with them to go out. Aryan was scheduled to pick us up right after lunch, so that we return maximum by 11.00 Pm – sadly before midnight, because we had to leave at 1.30 Am for airport.

It was 3.00 Pm now and I found myself standing before the mirror, settling my black shift dress that covered my bump nicely. I chose to wrap Niall's brown leather jacket and other than the flat heeled boot that I kept out, everything had been packed. Puking once and the emotional vacuum that was created in my heart due to leaving Calcutta, crashed my desire to doll up anymore. Therefore, I simply wore my hair in its long brunette waves down my shoulder and dabbed some pink lip gloss on my lips.
