prologue
I hummed along to a random tune that was strangely stuck on my mind for a couple of days now. With the breeze hitting my face, I brushed my hair back as I skipped to our tour bus. As I was entering the code of the bus, faint sounds of screaming filled my ears. The door flung open, revealing Ally who had teary eyes.
"Ally, what's wrong?" I quickly asked, concern written all over my face. She shook her head, wiping at her tears when Lauren also showed up behind her. I furrowed my eyebrows, noticing that Lauren looked like she had been crying too, "What happened?"
"Lauren don't." Ally warned, quickly moving to my side, "She's still young."
"She's 16 Ally, she's a teenager for Christsakes." Lauren hissed, pulling on my arm tightly, "And she has a right to know."
Then when I entered the bus, confusion settled inside me as I saw Dinah and Normani comforting Camila who was sobbing uncontrollably.
"You see that Y/N," Lauren said in a tone which she never used on me before, while pointing to Camila, "That right there is nothing but a selfish, greedy bitch."
"Fuck you Lauren." My eyes widened as I never heard Camila said that before. Lauren was fuming now, but held back as she shoved a paper to my hands. My head perked up at Lauren, tears welling up my eyes since I have no idea what's happening right now.
"Read it." Controlling my hands which was shakily holding the paper, I read it closely and carefully. Wait, this is a contract.
It was a contract for a solo artist.
And Camila's name was on it.
A tear fell from my eyes now, mouth agape as I looked up at Camila, who kept her head low almost shamefully.
"No this isn't real." I refused, shaking my head vigorously. Sadness laced Lauren's features but there was still the anger in her eyes.
"It is Y/N." She exclaimed, "It even has the sign of fucking Syco records."
A sob caught on my throat as I sat down on the couch, trying to process everything. Camila was signing a solo artist contract with Syco Records. But she can't. She won't, would she? I mean we've been together ever since the X-Factor. She can't just leave us, because then, there wouldn't be Sixth Harmony. And I love her.
I felt someone sit beside me but was quickly pulled away by Lauren, seeing it was Camila.
"Don't you dare touch her Camila!" I was then pulled out of my shocked state, about to stand up and get in between them, but I found myself being held back by Ally who was crying too.
"You can't keep telling me what to do Lauren!" Camila shot back, with her voice filled with utter disdain.
"And you know what," She added, "This is the reason why I'm leaving this stupid group. Because of all of you, trying to make me do this and that."
I felt a sting in my heart when she said that.
"We're not trying to make you do anything, you ungrateful, selfish bitch." I stood up, being fed up of their fighting.
"Lauren stop." But then I was pushed back to the couch, seeing that Camila slapped Lauren across the cheek. I was utterly shocked by this, and so were the girls as a collective gasp echoed throughtout the room. I could see Lauren was trying so hard to keep her tears from falling, but miserably failed as tears were already streaming down her face like an open faucet.
"It's settled then." Lauren croaked out weakly, before leaving out the door with Dinah and Normani following her. Ally shot us one last look before leaving too. I quickly went to Camila's side as she fell on her knees. I tried holding her but she kept slapping my arm away.
