The news of Wilbur's death and the solved case of Bad's murder spread like a wildfire on dry grass. No one talked to Quackity, No one entered his office, and he didn't leave it. Until a man with more nerve than a god came striding in one day. "Ready to talk Quackity?" the monotone voice questioned, unamused by the lack of communication between the two after the "incident". "How are the kids?" Quackity murmured not removing his eyes from the newspaper on his desk. "Yeah they're alright, I got them settled in with Phil again. He'll keep them out of trouble" Techno said with a grin wiping some dust off the desk with his index finger and studying it. After a long silence, Techno lost his patience. "Look I know you're not too keen to chat at the moment so take this instead" Techno growled chucking a scroll across the table at Quackity which he had retrieved from his vest pocket. "If you have any questions, You know where to find me" Techno declared with a wink, he fled his cape whipping at the door frame as he went. Quackity threw the newspaper to the floor and stared at the scroll for a minute, before unravelling the blood red ribbon and tossing it aside.
Quackity,
This is my last resort if you choose not to speak to me. You deserve to know the truth and Wilbur deserves to have his story heard no matter what he has done. Wilbur received the news of your engagement on his return trip to you. He changed his path to me and came to me heartbroken, fearing he had missed his chance with you. I told him to never say never but felt he was a hopeless case as my brother IS rather hopeless when it comes to emotion and how you deal with it. He slept in my barn that night, out in the blistering cold. I offered him a place inside but he felt he deserved a punishment for not putting your needs before his need to explore. He awoke me the next morning telling me of his plans to win you back and though he did not explain in depth I encouraged them as a way to get him out of my hair as I was sick of him moping around and it had only been a night. On his mission out the front gate to win you back he was stopped by his younger brother whom you know as Tommy who said he wanted to tag along. After an hour of bickering out in the cold, Tommy returned to Phil's house as Wilbur sat patiently atop his horse in the snow. Tommy fled the house, his two friends trailing behind him. The four embarked on their journey and the rest of the story is from XD's view.
Quackity took a deep breath, biting his lip as he read XD's part of the story.
Wilbur has a history of psychotic thoughts as you know and once blew up a country because and I quote "If he couldn't have it no one could". Wilbur's master plan to get you back had 5 phases. 1. Rig the TNT to Kinoko kingdom with the help of Tommy, 2. Make sure Karl and Sapnap are within the Kingdom, 3. Build a small shelter to keep them protected from the blast, 4. Boom and 5. Be the shoulder to cry on when the news blew up in your face (Hah get it...blew up?....too soon). It wasn't my favorite plan of his, but he hadn't really sat down and thought it out properly so for the time he had spent, it was good enough. He sent Tommy one night with a backpack of explosives to cover the very last fountain. But a nosy little man on his way back from a nice scenic walk caught poor young tommy playing with these explosives. Tommy ran. Bad followed. And we were soon met with the scene by L'manburg which you've already been a witness too. Once that happened Wilbur packed the boy's things, abandoned his explosives plan for the time being and made his way to you, But there was one thing that stuck with him. As he was fleeing the scene from which he had murdered Bad in. He saw footprints. Leaving the bushes that had a clear view of the murder and the footprints were fresh. He was so worried someone had seen that. And someone had, but if I tell you... That would ruin the fun.
With love,
Your Favorite god and The pig with the tiny cock xx
P.s Techno fulfilled your debt with me, so your in the clear (;
Quackity began to weep. His tears left small rain like droplets scattered across the parchment Techno had given him. Wilbur really had loved him. Wilbur had devised a plan to blow up a whole country for him. Wilbur had brushed aside his want for adventure and exploration to return to Quackity. He sank to the floor sitting against the desk. A small folded piece of paper sat wedged in between the letters he had just read. He peeled it from in between the two pieces of scroll and unraveled it. A familiar messy scrawl dated the letter from the end of L'manburg days. Quackity sat back desperately wiping the tears from his puffy eyes, eager to read this curious writing.
Q,
I'm sure you're aware I'm in some deep shit right now, and sadly that does require me to run. But I cannot help but reminisce about the time we spent together over the last few days. I'm not sure what this feeling is but, and this is going to sound cheesy but, even though I don't let any Americans into L'manburg...I'd let you in anytime. I wish I could spend more time with you but my stupid mistakes have consequences which I now must run from. I hope you don't hate me or think I'm crazy for what I did to L'manburg. I did it for love. And I would've done it for you if you had asked. In all honesty I'd do anything for you Quackity. Anything.
-Wilbur
Quackity's teary eyes drifted to the small lettering at the bottom which was written in a different ink from the rest of the note.
I told techno if anything was to happen to me while on my quest to win you back, to give you this letter from Simpbur. I love you Q, as much as I fail to show it.
Quackity wailed in pain clutching the note close to his chest, where his heart painfully throbbed. He sobbed, louder than he had ever sobbed before. Every cry was filled with more pain and heartache than the last. He aggressively swiped at his swollen eyes, which began to sting with every new salt filled tear that escaped from them. Quackity tried to imagine what would have happened if Wilbur had followed him up the needle that night. He would never have let his curiosity win and would never have called upon XD. He would have poured Wilbur some sort of weird cocktail Quackity could never dream of trying to drink. They'd chat about something random and then Wilbur would advance like always possibly with an insult first and then once again the familiar taste and feel of Wilbur's soft lips would be encased in Quackity's. The hands on the thighs and the hips, the swirling of tongues. That was Quackity's safe place, which had now been ripped from his grasp. In Wilbur's last moment's the adrenaline from the race down the stairs and the anger from the murder of Bad clouded Quackity's vision. In that moment, he knew no sympathy, or love. Just hate and anger. Quackity's life will forever be burdened by the memory of Wilbur's last few seconds, where Wilbur was finally able to muster the word's Quackity had been waiting to hear for three years and with those strong words came nothing. Not a single word from Quackity. Now Wilbur will never know if Quackity reciprocated those feelings, and Quackity will never forgive himself.
