A few days later I heard that Samuel had been reported missing by his son. 'Kaiholo better not have done this' I was furious at the thought of it.
I made my way to the beach but when I got there I noticed a man sat there, looking into the sea. It was Samuel's son Aron, he was slightly taller than me, with blond hair and brown eyes. "Aron? What are you doing here?" I asked, sitting down next to him, placing a hand on in shoulder in an effort to comfort him. "My dad... he loved this beach. I-I just want him to come home."
"I thought he was scared of the beach?" He shook his head. "He wasn't scared of the beach, he was scared of whatever was taking people from here" He started tearing up. "What if they're whats got him? What do I do Fern? How do I get home back?" He broke down crying, the only thing I could do was embrace him, trying my best to comfort him. I knew how he felt, how it felt to lose someone you care about and not know what happened to them. "I think you should go home Aron, try and calm down. I know how ot feels but you've got to try, can you do that for me?" He nodded. I hugged him once more before he left, leaving me alone on the beach. After about fifteen minutes I stood up and stood slightly in the sea, the waves only coming to my ankles. "Kaiholo. What have you done?" I asked, getting no response but I knew he was here, I could feel him staring at me. "Where is Samuel? What have you done to him?" I started to yell, crying slightly. "Just bring him home, please...." I fell to my knees and started sobbing lightly, over the past few weeks Samuel had became a good friend, a kind of father figure to me. And now he was gone and no one knew where. "Please Kaiholo..."
"I didn't take him.." I looked up to see Kaiholo in the deeper part of the ocean. "I do not know where he is, I'm sorry Fern" the feeling in my chest worsened, I truly had no idea what has happened to him, the hope I had in the Fact Kaiholo would know was shattered. "No! No no no no no!" I broke down more, breathing heavily "y-you have to know! P-please..." Kaiholo tried to approach me, being stopped by how shallow the water was. "I-if y-you don't k-know how are w-we meant t-to find him?" Kaiholo looked worried "Fern try to calm down" He tried comforting me but it didn't work. "Fern come here, please." He said in a lot attempt to comfort me. I looked at him, his eyes filled with worry, and rushed into his arms, crying into his arms as he kept me above the water, kissing my forehead and whispering comforting things into my ear. "I'll find him, ok?" He said, looking into my eyes. "H-how? You c-cant move on land" He shook his head. "I have my ways" He said. He kissed my head once more before bringing me back to the surface, at that moment I looked at my watch, "shit! I need to pick Jacob up!" I said frantically. I kissed Kaiholo on the cheek. "Thank you" with that I turned around and ran to my car as quickly as possible.
