(Kaiholo's pov)

I heard someone making their way into the caves towards rhe lagoon where I sat, but I couldn't care less who sees me now. "Hey laddie." The old man, what was he doing here? He stayed silent as he sat next to me. "He's worried about you" He looked at me with a sympathetic look. "Bullshit" He sighed. "You really think he would kiss that woman? That he would do that to you?" I just looked down, feeling guilty for just running away. I shook my head slightly. "But I saw him"

"He didn't kiss her laddie. He broke down as soon as you left, he was so scared that you'd hate him even if it wasn't his fault."
"What?" My voice broke slightly. "That woman just kissed him. He loves you, you know? He would never do that and I can tell." I nodded slightly "go talk to him."

I left the cave and saw Fern leaning against the rock, his eyes red from crying. I gently sat next to him. "I-Im sorry for running off" He looked at me surprised "i-its my f-fault" I shook my head. "No, she kissed you right? You didn't ask for it. You didn't want it. Right?" He nodded slightly. I pulled his face towards me slightly, him closing the rest of the gap.

Just as the kiss broke I heard an aggressive thrash coming from the ocean. "Hello again, old friend! You ready for round two?" I turned to face a  siren an evil entity, he was the reason I had been so wounded when bringing Samuel back. "Who is that?" Fern asked concerned. "Otaktay. Meaning, kills many." Otaktay looked at me maliciously, a cruel chuckle escaped his mouth. "And who, may I ask, is this cutie?" His statement made my blood boil. "You leave him alone!" Another chuckle. "I always loved messing with you, however I may have to keep him for myself" He smirked, winking at Fern, fueling my anger. "Leave Otaktay!" I warned but he just smirked more. Well, Kaiholo. Are you ready for round two?" I stood defenseless in my human form as he started to... sing? I thought he was going to attack, yet sirens were immune to eachothers call. That's when I realised. Fern! He slowly started to walk towards the sea. "Fern, no!" I grabbed onto him, trying to stop him to no avail. "Stop! You came for me! So come fight me!" He just shook his head, grabbing onto Fern as soon as he could. "You have no power compared to me! You're not worth the fight, I need a worthy opponent so until then I will take the one thing you hold dear." Fern was still under the spell of his song, even though he had stopped, he was far to powerful.
