"PADDLE FUCKING FASTER!" lilah says in a panic, the two of them stress and rush going further into the lake. "i'm fucking trying!" eddie says, a drop of sweat running across the side of his face. "that freak has lilah!" one of the basketball players yelled out, pointing towards lilah. she flips them off, paddling faster. "what the fuck?" jason got confused as to why she did that, but before doing anything, one of the players suddenly lifted up into the air slowly, getting pulled underwater in a quick rush, completely disappearing from them all in seconds.

"where did he go?!" this is when everyone started to panic, looking at the water for where their friend got dragged deep into the lake. suddenly, he gets forced up out of the lake and into the air, in a trance. lilah and eddie knew what was happening. it was vecna, taking another victim. jason looks up at him, shocked at the sight of his teammate levitating, almost as if he was possessed by something...

lilah was just as shocked as the first time when she saw the same thing happen to her bestfriend, chrissy. the boys jaw starts to snap out of place. "yo what the actual fuck?!" jason yells, a horrified expression on his face. his bones started to snap violently, his eyes then continued to roll to the back of his head. he really looked like the devil himself. all of the boys were now staring up at him in a state of shock, this gives lilah and eddie more time to get away from the group of troubled teenagers.

"PADDLE AGAIN!" as lilah grabbed the paddle, eddie then loses his balance and falls into the lake, flipping the boat over as well as lilah with him. the two of them appear from up out of the lake, both of their breaths getting heavy and struggling to breath. they manage to swim their way to the surface and get out the lake safely before losing their breath.

"holy fucking shit." lilah breathes out, panting heavily. "i don't think i've ever swam like that in my life." eddie speaks, as lilah nods along with him. as lilah slowly gains her breath, she lightly slaps eddie in the head, a frustrated expression written across her face. "now we're all wet , good one eddie." he smirks at her, laughing a little "sorry about that. lost my balance." she rolls her eyes at him for the 100th time, "yeah i couldn't tell." sarcastically rolling her eyes at him again, she lets out a small laugh at the situation they're in.

"looks like we're at lovers rock.." eddie says, looking over at her, trying to read the expression on her face. lilah looks down to her feet, trying to hide the slight smile on her face. "look at me." eddie says to her, placing a hand on her chin turning her to face him. "what are we gonna do?" she mumbles to him, "i mean, all of this is new to me... not even two days ago we hated each other." she sighs, looking at him. "i've never hated you lilah." he told her, a small smile written across his face as he said it.

"oh...im sorry" her face drops as he said that,

"i've always had a thing for you
lilah harrington."

her face lit up at the sentence. lilah brings her hand slowly up to the side of his face, starting to lean in to him. eddie brushes lilah's long blonde hair behind her ear softly, getting lost in her blue eyes. their lips then connect with each other, going slow at first. eddie grabs ahold of her waist, pulling her towards him, their body's both extremely close to each other. eddie pulls away, "you're so cold" he says in a sweet and small whisper, bringing his arms around her in a protective and warm embrace.

lilah in this moment was thinking hard of something, she was thinking of all the bad and good things she would let eddie do to her. wrong time to think of all that, but she was. "what you thinking about love?" he notices the expression on her face. "hmm what? oh.. um nothing.." he smirks at the blush on her face, nodding at what she told him. "i'm gonna contact dustin and the others."  he says to her, sitting down while pulling her down with him.

after many attempts to reach him on the wallow talkie things,
he had finally answered.

"eddie? lilah?"

hey y'all! i'm so sorry i haven't updated in like forever. i've been going through a lot lately and just been really stressed with school too. hope you guys liked this short chapter, i'm gonna try and get more into this story. another reason i've been so busy is because i've been working on another book! it's an elliot fanfic ( euphoria ) . it should be out soon so stay tuned:)
