AFTER WHAT FELT like hours of sleep, eddie woke up to lilah wrapped around him sleeping peacefully. he cherished these moments between them. although they both wouldn't admit it, the two enjoy being in eachothers company.

" gonna keep staring at me eddie? " she opened her eyes, a smile on her face. he obviously didn't realise how long he was looking at her face.
" you wish, sweetheart " she rolls her eyes, sitting up a bit. " how long did we sleep for? " he shrugged, before looking outside, noticing it had gotten dark. " it's night time, which means we slept for a while. " she widens her eyes, looking outside like eddie just was. " holy shit. we both needed it."

as they both continued to argue what the time was, there was a voice heard from outside the boat house. " hey lovebirds! " bronte struts her way in, waving at the two. " we've come to check on you guys. " as she said that,
robin comes in after her.

" hey robin.. " lilah speaks, smiling at her. she didn't know whether robin liked her or not, since they have barely ever talked. " hey lilah. how are you doing? " eddie comes into the conversation, " well, i assume she feels like shit since we just slept in a boat. " she nods, laughing with him.

" anyways, how did all the research go? " lilah asked her, robin sighed softly. "we're getting closer to finding out why this is happening and how to stop it." lilah and eddie give eachother a comforting look, nodding at robin. "well that's good because i honestly can't live like this." lilah says worriedly, eddie places his hand on her thigh in an attempt to comfort her.

"anyways.. " eddie speaks up, pulling out a cigarette from his back pocket and lighting it up. robin makes a disgusted face at the object between his fingers, "what?" he looks at her. she shrugs, changing the subject. "we brought you more cereal by the way." she points behind her at bronte, who is silently digging through the box of honeycomb cereal.

"we should probably get going." robin says, looking at bronte. "oh yeah. we'll come and check up on you guys soon." she says to lilah and eddie, a sympathetic look on her face. the duo looks at them nodding, "yeah, we'll contact you if anything happens. stay safe!" lilah shouts as the girls are making their way out of the boatshed, looking at their surroundings.

" so we just stay put here? " eddie says to her after robin and bronte leave.
" yeah we have to, otherwise how are we gonna keep you safe? " he looks at her with a sly smile, raising an eyebrow. " aww does someone care about me? " she pushes him playfully, rolling her eyes with a smile. " you wish." eddie winks at her, then getting up and walking over to the drink bottle that belonged to none other than lilah.

he guzzles the rest of her water, leaving her annoyed that she now didn't have any water left to keep her hydrated. "eddie what the fuck? now we don't- " she got cut off by him, "sorry sweetheart. i was kinda thirsty." he shrugs, a smirk plastered on his face. she rolls her eyes, grabbing the bottle from him. he lightly chuckles at her annoyed expression, and once again the both of them are in what seems like a very intimate staring contest.

before lilah could lean in and make a move, eddie breaks eye contact with her and grabs a cigarette from his pocket. with a flustered look on her face, lilah walks away from him and sits on a wooden crate. "want some?" eddie asks her, the cigarette inbetween his fingers. she nods, "then come here." doing as he said, she walks up to him, "now sit." she does as she's told and sits on his lap like he asked. "good girl." lilah couldn't even begin to explain all the butterflies she was getting.

he made her feel lustful and she liked that. she likes the way his rings feel when he touches her. she likes the way he tells her what to do. she likes his raspy voice in the morning. she likes the way he cares for her and makes sure she's always okay.
she likes the nicknames he calls her. she likes his incredible music taste. although she would never admit it, this man has a big effect on her and she's willing to do anything he asks.

"eddie." she suddenly speaks, looking up at his brown doe eyes. "yes love?" she slightly blushes at his nickname, "what are- actually nevermind." he raises an eyebrow, "what do you mean? is there something you wanna tell me?" the question itself was pretty simple, but its the answer she's scared to hear. "it doesn't matter..i forgot." he shrugs it off, finishing the cigarette then lifting lilah off his lap. something through the window catches lilah's eye, as she sees a familiar face with a baseball bat.

"jesus fucking christ." eddie turns around, questioning what lilah was talking about. "eddie we need to go. right fucking now." he widens his eyes at the voice of jason, chrissy's boyfriend. "fuck! fuck! fuck!" he yells in a whisper, before heading towards the small boat in a panic, pulling along lilah with him.

"grab a paddle and push it into the lake."
