Sam. He was stood there looking at me. I contemplated turning around and walking away, but I decided against it and waited for him to catch up with me. Once he had, I continued the journey back to Tiffany's house, without saying anything to Sam. He continued to follow me without saying a word.

The atmosphere was tense, and I guess Sam felt that, because he started rambling on about nothing. I wasn't even listening to him, but when he looked at me weirdly, I knew I had missed something more important.

"Sorry, I didn't hear you," I said sighing quietly to myself. I was tired, and I wasn't in the mood to speak to him.
"I said, do you want to go to that coffee shop over there?" He asked again. The shop looked very snall and run down. I was too tired to want to go.
"I don't really want to," I said beginning to walk again. He groaned and continued walking alongside me. "Sam, can we please talk about this tomorrow, because I really don't want to have to deal with anymore stress right now." I said it trying to make it sound believable. The truth was I wasn't overly stressed. I had made a decision that I would try to give Sam a chance. At us being friends that is. No more than that. How could I trust that he wouldn't leave me?
"Josie, the thing is I'm going to leave England tomorrow, because we're still on tour, so I want to sort this out so that I can see Amelie and you again. I sighed lightly.
"Ok," I said following him towards the small coffee shop.

He held the door open for me, and pulled out the chair, acting like a real gentleman. "What would you like?" The waiter asked. I didn't have any money.
"I'm paying," Sam whispered realising what I was worried about.
"Ok, well can I have a hot chocolate then please?" I gave my order to the man. Then it was Sam's turn.
"Can I have the same? And... can we have two chocolate muffins please?" Sam asked smiling at me. How did he know that chocolate muffins were my favourite. "You do like chocolate muffins don't you Josie?" Sam asked once the waiter had left the table. I nodded my head.
"Yes, they're my favourite," I stated smiling at him softly.

I completely forgot about Amelie as me and Sam talked about ourselves. We talked about life, and I told him about all of the most amazing parts of Amelie's life. I talked about how she learned to walk and that her first full word was carrot, as they were her favourite vegetable. He laughed, and I told him how she learned to walk.
"I really wish I was there to see all of that," Sam said quietly. I sighed, not really knowing what to say. He was the one who left me that night. But then again, maybe I wouldn't have been happy with what happened and would've most likely cut off all contact with him.

We finally finished our hot chocolate and muffins, but we continued to talk. There was so much that Sam didn't know about Amelie. Amelie!
"Oh my goodness, Sam can we continue this some other time, Amelie has school tomorrow and I need to get her home and to bed. He stood up quickly.

"Let's go together, I can help you, and it's dark as well. Very dangerous for a woman to be out on her own," he said. He didn't wait for a reply, but quickly walked out of the coffee shop, but not before paying for our drinks. He held the door open for me, and walked next to me as we quickly made our way back to Tiffany's house.
