The week went on and I went to work and Sam picked up Amelie from school. This was becoming something of a routine, but I knew that it wouldn't last long as Sam had to carry on with his tour, and would be forced to leave us behind. I don't know when we would see him again or if he wanted to stay in touch with us. I had been thinking about this everyday of the week.

The day came for when Sam had to leave to go back on tour, and I decided that me and Amelie should not go to work and school, so that we could see him off. "Do you have to go daddy?" Amelie asked with tears in her eyes. Her bottom lip wobbled, and she hugged his legs.
"Yes Amelie I do have to go, but I'll be back as soon as I possibly can," he said picking our daughter up and hugging her tightly. A tear fell down my face as I watched them both. I was going to miss him, and so was Amelie.

"Josie don't cry, and I need to ask you something before we leave," he said wiping my eyes with his finger. Amelie had her head resting on his shoulder, and was sobbing quietly. I nodded. I needed to stay strong for Amelie, even if I didn't feel that way.

"Ok," I whispered hugging him tightly and sobbing quietly, trying my hardest to just calm down. He put Amelie down and hugged me, stroking my hair as I cried. I would feel the need to cut if he's not here, and I don't want to feel that pain again. I just won't be able to control myself. My music won't work this time. Only Sam can keep me sane.

We got into the car and made our way to the airport. We were going to meet his bandmates there. Sam had apparently told them all about me and Amelie, and our daughter was very excited to meet them. Sam had briefed us on each one of them, and I was actually pretty excited to meet them if I was being honest. I mean I'd been a fan of their band before I even met Sam.

We got to the airport and got out of the car. Sam grabbed his suitcases. Let's say he didn't travel lightly. We walked in together and met up with the rest of his band. They were all amazing people, and I enjoyed being around them for that short period of time. They made jokes and made me feel welcome in their "frienship group."

"Last call for flight 321, please make your way to the fatetand board your plane," the intercom lady said in a very robotic and almost dead sort of tone. I looked at the group of people that I had just met and smiled.
"Well I guess that's your call," I said picking Amelie up. The all nodded and hugged me and my daughter at the same time. Then they walked away. Everyone except for Sam. He stood there with tears in his eyes.

"I need to ask you something before I go," he said giving me a small smile. I smiled back holding back on the tears.
"Will you go out with me?" He asked looking at me with a hopeful smile on his face. Everyone was looking at me and waiting for me to answer the question. I would either love the decision I made now, or would regret it for life, but I had to make a decision on the spot, and stick with it.

I didn't want Amelie to be hurt, but I want to do the wrong thing. I took a deep breath, then  I opened my mouth to answer his question, with my fingers crossed. "Sam..."
