--back at the house--
--KATNISS' POV--
Its 12:40 now and I should be at school. But, to be honest, I am too excited about the talent competition so I decided to bunk the rest of the day so that I can write a song to sing. (a/n it wont actually be written by me. It will be a real song.) I think I am going to write a sad song to 'express my feelings'. Trust me I have a lot of those.
I overheard Peeta and his 'gang' talking about the contest before I left school. Annie said that I was in it and then Peeta said that they were going. So that settled it. I was going to make him feel so bad about what he has done. I am going to break him like he has broken me. Kill him with my tears.
I settle on the title 'Behind these Hazel Eyes' and start to write it. Half an hour later I'm still struggling to write a line down.
I close me eyes and just start to write down every thought that comes into my head. Every thought that has crossed my mind since the day he broke up with me is in this song. I feel my eyes getting wet with tears and a few drop down onto the page. I quickly wipe them away with the heel of my hand before putting everything in a folder and hiding it under my pillow.
I then run over to the computer and print out the lyrics to 'Party in the USA' by Miley Cyrus. I grab another piece of paper and write 'KATNISS' SONG FOR THE TALENT CONTEST' on it in big letters. I staple the front page and the lyrics together before messily throwing them onto my blow up bed.
I laugh to myself slightly before I exit my room and run down the stairs into the living room.
Peeta has no idea what is coming for him.

When should I bring out the blurb thing for my next everlark book?? I might have a name competition for it 😂
