Miranda walked inside of her apartment after the police dropped her off.

She put her back against the door and sighed. "Well that was a hell of a ride." She said to herself.

Walking to her bedroom, she decided to take a shower and just go to bed.

Miranda laid in bed and her thoughts traveled to Ben. He was a doctor. Clearly it was more to this man than what meets the eye. She rolled over and grabbed her laptop and searched his name.

Miranda read through the articles and magazines. She saw that ever since he took over his father's business,it grew by more than 40%. He was good. She looked at the charity events he attended and donated at. She saw pictures of him participating and building houses for humanity.

He seemed so good, it was hard to believe that he could easily kill two people, but she guessed like he said. It's either killed or be killed and she knew that you could easily get over to that side because she spent her whole life never knowing what it was like to even hold a gun. Yet in one night she managed to shoot a person in the leg twice.

She also hated that somebody wanted to get rid of him, his competitors didn't know how to beat him in business so they just tried to remove him permanently.

Hearing the doorbell ring Miranda stopped her search on the computer. She closed it and stood cautiously walking to the door.

Miranda looked in the peep hole and saw that it was Tucker and she opened it.

Tucker rushed in and pulled Miranda into a hug, kissing her on the lips.

"Tucker what the hell.” Miranda snapped pushing him back.

"Thank God you are okay" He said cupping her face.

"I'm okay but don't ever do that again in your life...we are getting a divorce."

"Just because we are getting a divorce doesn’t mean that I wouldn't care about you."

"You can care about me all you want but we are not together. I understand you are happy to see me. I am happy to be back home. These last few days were scary but don't put your mouth on mines." Miranda returned and he nodded.

"How did you know I was back home?"

"Police reported it on the news." He answered.

"Oh." She voiced.

"I'm just glad you are well. I was going crazy. I kept your mom and dad updated. You should probably call them first thing tomorrow."

"I will."

"Are you comfortable? Do you want me to stay here with you?"

"I'm comfortable and no that is not necessary...I just want to go back to my regular life before all of that happened."

"Miranda there is no regular life after something like that happens. It's apart of you and your story."

"You are right." She agreed not wanting to go back and forth with him.

"How about you just call me tomorrow to check up on me." Miranda suggested.

"Okay I will. Good night Miranda."

The next morning Miranda called both her parents and they wanted to know almost every detail about what happened and it just wasn't something she really wanted to talk about...maybe because half of it was far fetched.

She got up and got ready for work and called a cab.

Ben sat at breakfast and he looked over at where Miranda sat yesterday and he was just irritated that the smart mouthed woman wasn't there anymore.

"Kyle." Ben called out.

"I want you to be a detailed security for Miranda. Follow her around discreetly, always remain in the shadows.

"Is she okay?" Kyle asked.

"why are you so concerned?" Ben gritted..."Yeah I believe she's fine. It's just for my own sake. Report back to me if something seems out of place and funny."

"She works at the hospital so how would I remain there discreet on the inside?"

"I will talk to someone and you will work as hospital security on the inside." Ben replied.

A week passed and Miranda answered the knock on her door.

"Good morning Dr. Miranda Bailey. We are here to deliver your vehicle."

"Oh my gosh hold on let me get my ID and stuff."

They verified her ID and social before she signed a few papers. After giving her the vehicle walk through, the man handed her the two sets of keys.

Miranda cheesed looking at the car before she got inside. " damit Ben it's beautiful." She sighed happily.

At work all Miranda could do was think about Ben and if he was okay...how did his wound heal.

"Hey Callie what does this mean. It's been wracking my brain for days now." Miranda questioned, stopping her in the hall.

"What is it?" Callie asked.

" diga....So.... che... avresti un buon... sapore.....come sembri." Miranda stumbled trying to remember and pronounce it right.

Callie's eyes widen and she giggled a little.

"What? What does it mean? The guy said some more but I don't remember all that." Miranda stressed.

"Who said that to you?"

"It doesn't matter" Miranda waved off.

"He said Dam, I know you would taste as good as you look." Callie translated.

"Uh." Miranda gasped and then blushed heavily.

"You gotta teach me some Italian, I want to learn." Miranda said and Callie nodded.

"Why so you can impress this mystery man?"

"I doubt I will see this mystery man again. We live in two different worlds. He's a rich business man and I'm a Doctor." Miranda responded and she was kind of sad about it actually.

Callie nodded. "Okay, I will teach you Italian everyday."

"Thank you." Miranda cheesed.

"Can I ask this though?"

"Yeah go ahead."

"Did this mystery man buy you that car?" Callie smiled knowingly.

"Yes he did."

"Oh my god that is so sweet." Callie shrieked.

"It was after my car was torched, he stepped in and I appreciate that."

"Let's go out for drinks tonight." Callie chimed.

"Sure I could use one."

A month passed and Miranda was leaving work. She had been on edge ever since the night of the parking lot.

She couldn't shake the feeling that someone was following her. Some one was watching her. She pegged it to just being super paranoid.

"Boss we have a problem." Kyle said on the phone.

"What's wrong?" Ben questioned quickly.

"These men in all black were following Dr. Bailey. I was going to check it out but they speed off down the street. I couldn't get the license plate." Kyle informed.

"Okay go stop her from going home and bring her to me." Ben said.

"Okay I will go back inside the hospital to retrieve her." Kyle voiced.

"I'm going to take James and David and we will drive to her apartment to check everything out. Just to be on the safe side. " Ben stated gritting his teeth.

Ben was already in the car as James drove. "Is she safe?" Ben called Kyle asking.

"I just got up to the surgical floor and the surgery that she was supposed to be on was postponed."

"So what does that mean?" Ben sighed.

"She's already on the way home." Kyle replied sadly.

"She's driving into an ambush." Ben gritted ending the call upset.

"Aye James put a rush on it." Ben ordered.
