Solange walked next to Taylor, "I'm too black for this" she mumbled, glancing at nothing but darkness as they walked naked down the street "I knew those bitches were fake!" the dirty blonde complained."Let me get this straight, Connie texted you about being your deb thingy and Nicole saw? what is up with these dudes and trying to have side chicks, and why has no one told me" Lange revised the whole situation, her hair had been wet, she texted the boys but Conrad didn't respond so she texted Angela who told him because they were all at the same party. She also texted Jeremiah and he dryly responded "I'm not a side chick Solange!" Belly said.
"Don't be so offended, I'm still hurt no one told me" Solange paused "I texted Jeremiah, he should be coming" she spoke once again.
She missed Jeremiah, even if it was just as a friend, she wanted the boy in her life either way because he was a big part of it. The truth was, things had gotten overly complicated this summer and she couldn't tell if she liked it, or hated it, Jere was someone she trusted with everything, and just as she forewarned, it got complicated and ruined things, her heart ached with the thought that they would never be as close again but on the other hand, Steven, he was someone she liked to be around when Shayla wasn't bought up.
Solange liked how free he made her feel at times, how no one had to know-she had feelings for him, but she missed Jeremiah being around, and that would never go away, Steven was there, he was sweet at times, any contact they had made her skin feel on fire, any little touch, her heart would stop thinking about him, she felt all fluttery, when her feelings weren't being hurt "those bitches are indeed fake, we should jump Nicole, we all know that idiot was butt hurt and decided to leave me and Taylor, behind!" Solange added.
"What about me?" Belly said.
"I kinda get why she left you honestly, but we're two innocent bystanders, kinda" Taylor agreed with Solange, trying to slowly squish their beef, mainly because Isabella asked. Two cars pulled up, Jeremiah in one and Steven in the other, she expected to see Conrad, not him "hey, you okay?" Jere was the first one to speak to her.
"Cold, but okay" the girl shrugged, trying to cover herself the best way she could due to her being on the end, "here I got you some clothes, we might've mixed up the underwear though."
Solange sent him a smile, he was talking to her.
After the girls got dressed they stood in front of the cars, Taylor took a glimpse of her "why don't Belly and I ride with Jere?" she randomly questioned, gently pushing Isabella towards the blue-eyed boys' car "but I-"
"Bye! see you at home" they waved.
Once the car pulled away Solange walked back towards his car, a smile on her face as he opened the door "after you" he said.
⁂
"So, you okay? what happened?" Steven asked, the two now sitting at a stop sign in the same neighborhood, Solange sighed, "just some dumb girl drama, thank you for coming."
"I'll never not come Solange" he rolled his eyes like it was just a casual thing to say, he tended to do that, to water down how big situations and make them feel small, she turned to him, not understanding him, Shayla was easily prettier than her, well off, had her life in set and stone-she was more interesting, her accent was literally to die for.
Her head hit the back of the seat, staring up at the car's ceiling "you keep pulling me back in, I try so fucking hard to hate you and then you say the nicest thing and I feel bad" she smiled, it was tiny but said enough "maybe it's 'cause you like me and I'm a good person" he said.
