You woke up to a text message from Hop, you were quick to check to it.
Everything felt like a dream yesterday, him asking you to be his partner after so many years and now you two have finally gotten together.
Hop: "Hey (y/n), are you busy later?
You thought of anything that might come up, you were going to head to the next city after Cirechester, Spikemunth.
"What's up?"
You replied back.
You felt your heart race as you sent that message, you were quite nervous on how things would be like between you two from now on.
Hop: "Well.... If you're not busy then do you want to grab a meal with me later on?"
Hopscotch Hopkins Hops, are you asking me out on a date...??
"Are you asking me out on a date?"
You felt a grin slowly from on your face.
—Hop's pov—
My face flushed a little, she knew me like the back of my head. She'd always been the teaser in our friendship and now to our relationship.
"Yeah, what about it?"
I sent with a serious tone, hoping there wouldn't be anymore teasing.
(y/n): "I'd love to."
I felt the excitement get to me as I smiled.
"I'll be ready soon....!"
I sent as I looked around around my bag for a spare change of clothes, however when I did all I found was the same clothes I change into almost all the time. My gym uniform and the spare change of clothes I change everyday.
Maybe I should ask Lee.... Who am I kidding he doesn't know about me and (y/n) yet.. And he's also not very good at fashion considering what he wears as his champion outfit.... He looks like his mom let him wear whatever he wanted for preschool....
I couldn't help but chuckle a bit.
I decided maybe I'd ask an expert in this to help me out.... Maybe....
—Your pov—
You asked Sonia to help you with this, she was surprised to have found out you and Hop recently started dating.
"AND YOU'D ASK ME TO HELP YOU??? I'm not sure I even have the right style, you can always ask Nessa I mean she's very great at fashion. Let me call her over."
Sonia pulled out her Rotomphone, she began to call Nessa.
She had a small conversation with Nessa and soon the both of you waited only for Nessa to show up. Nessa wore really nice clothes, a coat and a blue dress.
"Hey Sonia! What's up?"
Nessa smiled.
Nessa looked over at you.
"Hey, it's that trainer....! (y/n) was it? I remember when we fought last time, how's your journey been?"
Nessa asked.
"It's fine, I'm almost close to getting my last two gym badges."
You nodded.
"That's great! I'm proud of you. A lot of people who have faced me or Kabu have mostly been defeated and then would usually give up the gym challenge but I see you're still up and going so I'm glad about that."
Nessa heavily sighed.
"Nessa....! Did you think you could help me on this. See, (y/n) here is going on a date with someone and she wants to look nice."
Sonia said.
Nessa was surprised.
"I-I've never really been on a date before.... But I can try to help."
Nessa coughed.
Nessa did all she can, gave you clothes for your date and Sonia did your hair.
You were ready and walked out to meet Hop at Hammerlocke. You walked into the sweets store and saw Hop waiting by. He had combed his hair differently, he wore a nice outfit.
He waved over to you then looked surprised once you came over.
"H-Hey.... Man I feel a little underdressed compared to you."
Hop looked upset.
You placed your hand gently on his, you smiled a little.
"Hop, you're fine no matter what. If it makes you feel better, I feel I might have dressed too much for this."
You laughed.
Hop smiled, seeming happy that you reassured him.
The two of you ate some snacks before walking around Hammerlocke.
You saw Hop hang his hand around as if he was going to ask to hold your hand, you were quick to link your hand against his. Hop jumped a little.
You laughed.
Hop's face flushed, he grabbed your hand back and clenched it within his. The two of you went sight seeing around and took photos together.
Afterwards, you both sat on a bench and relaxed.
"Thanks for today Hop, I had fun."
You nodded.
Hop seemed to have a look excitement, he was like a puppy wagging its tail. Hop looked away and shrugged.
"Thank you, so did I."
Hop smiled, slowly kicking his legs back and forth a little.
It hadn't been this quiet from that moment that you two were younger and got into that infamous argument that separated you two for a couple of days.
You closed your eyes slowly and remembered half of it, you and Hop argued over something and so you both had stopped seeing for each other for a couple days. None of you would visit each other, and whenever your mum's would hang out you both wouldn't talk to each other.
It was up until at one point Hop came to you and he had tears in his eyes, saying how he no longer wanted to fight with you. That was one of the first times you had seen Hop cry, since he was the type to usually hold things in and you were the crybaby.
You hugged him and told him not to be sad that you would be there for him.
You hugged Hop, resting your head on his shoulder. Hop seemed surprised for the sudden hug.
"Hey (y/n), what's wrong....??"
Hop questioned.
"I just felt like hugging you."
You said.
Hop's eyes widened, he gave you a warm smile and sighed to himself.
"You know, somehow I wanted to as well."
Hop smiled.
Hop put his arms around you and hugged you tightly. You would remain in Hop's arms from now until later.
