You woke up from your long nap, startled by a loud sound. You were about to get up and move when you were stopped by someone.
"Hey, take it easy."
A familiar voice said.
You looked over to see Leon, he smiled a little at you. He had bandages wrapped around him.
"Leon....! What's going on?? Eternatus...! Everything—"
"No need to worry, you and Hop already dealt with it. In case you're wondering, you're in the hospital. You and Hop didn't seem to wake up for a couple of days, assuming that battle between Eternatus took so much energy from you both. But look at you two now, Galar's biggest talk and heroes!"
Leon smiled.
"How's.... Hop doing....?"
You questioned.
"Hop? Well, he's still sleeping from what I was told. I tried to visit him earlier but he was just snoring like no other day. I'm proud of you (y/n), and Hop too. I just wanted to see the progress and how you two were doing so I'm out of here. The doctor discharged me today, so I can't wait to continue where we started. That battle."
Leon stood up, he stood by the door way.
"Hey Leon."
You called out to him.
Leon looked back.
"Good luck, cause I'm not holding back and I'm going to beat you."
You proudly smiled.
Leon chuckled a little before he left, leaving you in the room alone.
A nurse came in and told you about your symptoms and how you were okay to move around now but you would need plenty of rest.
"Hey... Where's Hop?"
You questioned.
"Hop? He should be in the last room to this floor. Would you like me to take you there?? I don't think he's woken up yet."
The nurse said.
"He'll wake up, I just know it."
You nodded.
The nurse walked you over to Hop's room, she knocked on the door before entering. You saw Hop on his phone while he was eating some food.
"(y/n)?? (y/n)!! I'm so happy to see you!"
Hop smiled.
You walked over to Hop and hugged him lightly.
"How's it going? Hero of Galar?"
You smiled.
"Same goes for you, we're both heroes of Galar. I'm well rested and I'm ready to see you battle soon."
Hop smirked.
"Thanks, you've always been my number one supporter."
You ruffled Hop's hair.
"By the way, my mum came in earlier today. She dropped off food for us, saying that we most likely would've woke up hungry. How I missed her food."
Hop said.
He pulled out a bag, containing that soup Hop's mum always seems to make. Hop pulled out small bowls and poured some for you and him.
"I was watching a live stream regarding the incident of the Darkest Day and Eternatus. It's looks like we're famous now since people seem to know who we are. According to Lee, news outlets were swarming the hospital to speak to us regarding it."
Hop showed you his phone.
"Yikes, I don't think I'll be able to go outside as much."
You said.
"You won't be able to go outside as much once you become champion."
Hop said.
"Don't say that, I'll still be able to go out but just be famous now."
You nodded.
Hop laughed.
"I was just teasing."
Hop rubbed his nose a little.
"I'm bored, I want to leave this room. Do you think I'm allowed to?"
Hop questioned.
"Well, can you stand up??"
You questioned.
Hop tried to get up, with your help he got up and began walking. He put on some hospital slippers and sighed.
"This feels better than being in bed all day. Then again, being in bed all day is also as good."
Hop stretched.
"Leon and I used to do stretching back when he would visit home as much. We don't do it often anymore because he's busy with champion stuff but every now and then I wish he'd come home."
Hop nodded.
"You'll be seeing him home more often, trust me."
You said.
"I'm not doubting you, but thanks."
Hop said.
Hop told you many stories about him and Leon, how this one time as a kid Leon ended up lost with a baby Hop in the forest. There was also that story that you both had ended up in the Kalos region for some reason because Leon took the wrong flight when they were supposed to go to Alola.
"What in the world?? Leon's always been like that??"
You laughed.
"There was that time that Sonia had to hold his hand around their adventures because Lee would get lost. There was even that time Leon ended up in Chairman Rose's meeting because he got lost."
Hop laughed.
You both laughed hard.
"Hey, got a visit for one more person?"
You heard a familiar voice say as the door to the room opened.
You saw Bede, wearing what seemed like his clothes for the fairy type gym.
"I CANT EVER GET OVER YOUR UNIFORM, YOU LOOK SO GIRLY IT SUITS YOU!"
Hop began to crack up and laugh hard.
Bede frowned, he grit his teeth a little as he tried not to let Hop making fun of him get to him.
"Long time no see Bede, I only saw you that battle but I didn't think you got that strong since then."
You smiled.
"I did a lot of training over these past few days, months even, just to reach both of you guys. Even if I did get removed off the gym challenge I still wanted to participate one way or another."
Bede said.
Hop walked over to him and hugged him.
"We know dude, you've had it rough. Since finding out more about you I've come to realize you weren't as bad as I thought you were."
Hop smiled.
You came in and hugged Bede as well.
Bede began to tear up, he let you both hug him.
"I just wanted to be like you both, maybe even just have friends like you two as well."
Bede said.
"Okay, but you came off across as cold to us the first time we met you. What are you those Japanese media thing they call a 'tsundere' where they act so cold towards people but are actually good people?"
Hop frowned.
You elbowed Hop.
"Don't listen to him Bede, we're glad to accept you."
You nodded.
You all had an emotional moment and talk together, after that Bede went home and left some flowers for both you and Hop to enjoy. You returned back to your hospital room as Hop had passed out by then.
You laid down and would await your discharge in about a couple of days from now.
