Your eyes widened, seeing what has become of the lab in Raihan's gym. There it was, the one they call Eternatus, the day the darkest day would happen.
You trembled a little as you stood alone, facing the giant pokemon. Hop and Leon had been defeated, they lay on the ground from feeling tired.
"Hop.....! Hop....!"
—Earlier—
You felt yourself tremble a little, taking a deep breath and remembering what Hop told you yesterday.
About being brave, about how he was always there around you. Hop's words of encouragement always stuck with you, first you were the one encouraging him and now he was doing it back to you.
You walked into the stadium, people cheering your name and shouting your number that you had since day one of being a gym challenger. You went to change in the room and waited for a bit.
Your phone vibrated, as you received a text message from someone.
>Three text messages.
You unlocked your phone and read all of them.
>"Good luck (y/n)! I just wanted to give you a good luck cheer since you probably need it a lot."
-Hop.
You smiled and laughed a little.
What a goof ball, I love him.
There was a text message from Raihan.
>"Hey future champ to be, I can't believe you made it this far! I forgot to send this to you a couple of days ago but I have a photo from when we all went out for dinner."
-Raihan.
Attached to his message was a photo of you, Hop, and Raihan in the buffet from last time. You all seemed to happy, but as usual Raihan always featured himself in the photo, mostly taking the spotlight to himself.
There was a third message from your mum who had been supporting you since day you got your Pokémon. She sent you a photo of her and Hop's mum together as they were in the stadium to come watch you.
You stood up and walked over.
"This is a battle that will determine everything for me... No turning back now."
You said.
You stepped up to face Leon, making a grand entrance.
Everyone began to yell as they cheered out your name.
"GO (Y/N), YOU CAN DO IT!!"
You heard a crazy familiar voice shout.
You saw Hop shout, he waved over to you.
You laughed a little, waiting for Leon to come out but it seemed like he didn't.
The cheering went from curiosity as Leon didn't show up, you looked around and could feel a nervous tension. Suddenly, the monitor's to the stadium got hacked as it displayed Chairman Rose. He began talking on about his plan to revive the darkest day and that no one would stop him.
Well, there goes that battle.
You frowned.
"Chairman Rose...! What are you thinking....?! That's not a good idea as you portrayed it to be...!"
You yelled.
