"X? X like the poison?" Ace asked impatient for an answer. He was met with silence. Luffy crossed his arms over his chest, as if in thought. We all know that's practically impossible.

"Luffy, you can't be serious about meeting this person? They're most likely a grown adult and probably going to hurt us!" Sabo warned, concern lacing his voice. Luffy stayed silent for a bit before smiling and looking to his older brother.

"Just because X lives in the walls, doesn't mean they're bad!" Luffy replied.

"THAT OBVIOUSLY MEANS THEY'RE SUSPICIOUS IN THE LEAST!!" Ace shouted at his dense younger brother. "And also, their name is 'X'? Like the poison? Hinting at something??"

Luffy glared at his brother. The temperature dropped instantly. Luffy's eyes clouded over, darkness seeping into them. His voice filled with menace.

"Don't judge a book by it's cover Ace. Ever heard of that saying?"

Ace and Sabo felt the hairs on the back of their necks tingle as they tended up. This was not the Luffy they knew. "H-huh?" Ace managed to sputter before Luffy started coughing violently.

"Lu!" exclaimed Sabo in worry and both older boys rushed to the younger.

Luffy finished his coughing fit, his eyes were filled with light once more. "You shouldn't just judge them, maybe they're nice!!" scolded Luffy. As if nothing had happened at all. Ace and Sabo were sure their hair would turn white at the rate Luffy worried them. Now they had to deal with mysterious mood changes. To say they were concerned was an understatement.

Sabo patted Luffy's head gently. Luffy looked up at the blond and smiled, thinking that Sabo was on his side. Ace cupped Luffy's face with both of his hands, glaring at the younger boy's eyes. They had been soulless before, not a single drop of happiness to be seen. Ace didn't like that look on his precious little brother's face. After seeing that Luffy's eyes were filled with light once more, he let go and scoffed.

"We'll go when we hear a knock!" declared Luffy, already having decided whether the three brothers were going or not. They were evidently going.

Ace jumped as he heard a knock coming from the wall. Sabo rubbed his eyes lazily. They hadn't had a drop of sleep, only falling in and out of unconsciousness. Luffy, still the ball of sunshine he always was, didn't seem drained in the slightest. How the young boy had so much energy was a mystery. "There's the knock! Let's go!" Luffy jumped up and rushed to the door with a wide smile, determination and excitement laced his voice. Ace groaned as Sabo sighed. They both stumbled to their feet and followed after their brother who had already opened the door and rushed out of the room.

"Wait up Luffy!" called out Sabo as he grabbed Ace's wrist and dragged him toward the direction Luffy had went.

"That rubber idiot, I swear when we get to him..." muttered Ace under his breath as he blinked a few times and sped up.

Sabo smiled as they finally reached the deck. Luffy was waiting impatiently for his brothers and when he saw them he smiled widely. A breeze made Luffy's straw hat wobble a bit. The young boy's treasure was definitely too big for him yet it just clicked with his whole agenda.

"Ace, Sabo, you're so slow! Hurry up!" said Luffy before running off. Ace grabbed his wrist quickly and hit his head.

"OW!!" Sabo put a hand over Luffy's mouth to keep him quiet. Ace tightened his grip on Luffy's wrist, ensuring that he didn't run off and fall off the ship somehow. "The whale head is over there, I think I see a person!" said Sabo, fixing the hat on his head. Ace grunted in response and they all crept toward the whale head.
