Ace grit his teeth as Sabo clenched his fists. Both were using such force it wouldn't be a surprise if they caused blood to spill. But blood was already being spilled. Luffy sat in defeat on the other side of the room, holding back sobs and tears streaking down his face. A subordinate stood beside the young boy, holding a metal bat covered in spikes. If the boys were to say a word to each other, Luffy would be struck again. The famous straw hat lay on Luffy's head, drooping as if also mourning the pain of its owner.

"What the hell..." whispered Ace angrily as he pushed himself as far as his chains would allow him to. The guard thankfully didn't hear the words the freckled boy had uttered and didn't make a move toward Luffy. Sabo closed his eyes, guilt and shame overtaking any anger. Ace seemed to slowly succumb to what his brother was feeling and banged his head against the concrete floor, disgusted by his own weakness and helplessness. Luffy glanced up at his brothers and reminded himself to tell them that 'this wasn't their fault' and 'it didn't hurt at all'. Sweet nothings.

Suddenly, bangs could be heard. "Are they having a party without me?! I swear I should've switched with Arnold, I gladly would've cleaned the bathrooms over babysitting. Ugh, that chore switch deal was not worth it..." the guard complained as he dragged his mace against the floor, creating an unsettling screeching sound. All of the brothers winced as their nerves bubbled at the unpleasant sensation of having their ears listen to metal against stone. The weapon left scratch marks as the subordinate walked in circles, an ugly frown on his face.

More bangs. "That sounds AMAZING!! This babysitting job is really annoying. Maybe I could pass the time some how." The subordinate lifted his mace and approached Luffy with a smirk. Ace and Sabo's eyes widened at the cruel man's idea and their limbs started to unconsciously tense. Suddenly the noise stopped outside.

"Huh? They're usually so loud what's going o-" the man was interrupted as blue and yellow flames engulfed the room. "What the-"

The door flew off it's hinges and revealed...the Whitebeard pirates! Standing there in all of their glory. Not a single scratch on them and a whole corridor of knocked out men. "H-huh?! T-the Whitebeard pirates?! Spare me! Please!!" The subordinate dropped his weapon and it clattered to the ground, the person himself falling to his hands and knees, forehead to the concrete ground. "You guys!!" Ace exclaimed in shock. He didn't think that out of all the people who could save them, it would be the Whitebeard pirates.

"Hm, yo!" Thatch said with a smile. Marco walked into the room casually before his eyes widened at seeing the state Luffy was in. Marco had a sword tucked into his belt but he mostly didn't use it as the people here were so weak all it took was a little bit of flames to send them into the land of unconsciousness. Izo twirled his guns around his finger before pointing it straight at the subordinate kneeling before him. "Where's your boss? Tell us, you live."

The subordinate shook violently and his words came out stuttered. "B-boss Vigilante e-escaped onto the w-west coast!" the subordinate managed to splutter. Izo adjusted his aim and shot a few centimeters to the right of the subordinate. "Get out of here."

The subordinate scrambled to his feet, calling the pirates 'merciful' and other flattering words. Thatch just pushed him out roughly, hoping to end this blabber.

"Marco, Thatch, Izo..." whispered Sabo, tears on the corners of his eyes. The three men smiled and began working on getting the chains off. Thatch worked on Ace, Izo on Sabo, and Marco on Luffy. After Luffy's chains were removed, the rubber boy smiled widely and laughed before falling asleep. Ace and Sabo tried to rush to their brother but were stopped and easily picked up by Thatch and Izo. "Luffy!" both brothers shouted out. Izo placed Sabo on his shoulder and held on tightly so the boy wouldn't fall while Thatch held Ace upside down by his ankle. (Poor Ace, his face is really red right now.)
