"Finally!!" Luffy shouted, a wide smile on his face. Sabo laughed at his brother's actions but nevertheless, he was happy too. Ace stretched his arms and legs, a smirk visible on his features.
It was finally the day when their bandages were removed. It felt like a huge weight was removed from them. The bandages had restricted their movement quite a lot so all of them were equally happy to have them gone. "I feel so light," pointed out Sabo as he jumped on the spot.
Ace hummed in response as he shook his limbs. "I wonder if I can still stretch," said Luffy aloud.
...
"OBVIOUSLY YOU STILL HAVE YOUR DEVIL FRUIT!!" Ace and Sabo yelled as they both stretched Luffy's cheeks. Luffy whined as his cheeks snapped back leaving a red mark. Sabo sighed. The brothers were currently in their room, they had just visited the hospital wing or something like that. A knock on the door interrupted the brothers. "Come in!" called Sabo. Izo poked his head in and smiled at the brothers. "Marco would like to have that talk now, just follow me," the man said as he left the door ajar and started walking off. The brothers gulped at the same time, all of a sudden they wanted their bandages back. Luffy took a deep breath and smiled. "It's fine! Pineapple head can't do anything that bad, not compared to Gramps!"
Sabo and Ace felt chills down their spine at the mere mention of their grandfather. Ace scratched his ear and smiled. "He's right, nothing's worse than the old man."
Sabo chuckled as he took the lead out of the room. They could see Izo rounding a corner down the corridor and the boys hastened to follow.
----------ehe, wouldn't gliding be faster?-------
Marco took off his glasses gingerly. Three boys currently sat in front of him, his Pops and brothers beside him. "Let's talk," he said. Sabo nodded, a trickle of sweat making it's way down his neck. Luffy tugged on his straw hat as Ace fiddles with the bottom of his shirt. "Ha~, look boys. Going on your own out there was extremely reckless, not to mention dangerous. It's barely been 2 weeks since you've been with us. As Pops probably already told you, I had a bad experience with Heiwa island in the past," Marco glared at the table as a dark look crossed his face.
Three knocks from the wall. The Whitebeard pirates froze in place, all of them getting ready for battle. Luffy perked up, his eyes brightened as he smiled widely. "Y!"
Ace and Sabo whirled to the wall, at the same time correcting Luffy. "X!"
"X?" Whitebeard asked curiously just as a wooden panel from the wall toppled forward.
"Oh dear, I'll have to fix that later, apologies."
Marco's eyes widened as he whispered a name under his breath. "Livia.."
X gingerly stepped into the room and dusted her tattered clothes. "Hello Whitebeard pirates, Marco-san."
Marco felt a lump in his throat as he stared at the young girl. "You're..you're Livia's daughter aren't you..?" the man asked hesitantly.
X smiled as she brushed a few white strands from her face and bowed to Marco. "Hello Uncle."
"UNCLE?!" sputtered out Thatch and Izo. Whitebeard didn't look particularly surprised, only amused. Luffy jumped to his feet and toppled onto X. The poor girl stumbled to regain her balance and smiled kindly at Luffy once she did.
"Mar-...ehm, I mean, Uncle. The people of Heiwa island are still alive. Although we suffered a lot of losses since the World Government invaded our home, we still live! Please, take us back to Heiwa island," X bowed her head, hair covering her eyes.
Marco looked torn as he observed the girl in front of him. Whitebeard glanced at his son, whatever he chose would be his own choice, he was in charge of his actions and he would pay the consequences for them. Thatch gripped the table in his anticipation, his foot tapping against the floorboards. Izo clutched his kimono, anxious to see what Marco would say.
"Alright, ha~, let's set the course for Heiwa island."
X raised her head, eyes wide with shock. "Thank you...so much," X muttered under her breath, her voice laced with gratitude. Marco flashed one of his iconic lazy smiles and started walking from the room. He paused right next to the boys. "Looks like you had a good reason for setting off, I'll let you of the hook this one time." The blond man walked off, his voice shouting orders in the distance.
"Gurararara! What a turn of events, you all have hidden your aura quite well!" complimented Whitebeard. Somehow a bottle of alcohol had appeared in his hand and now the giant man was taking swig after swig of it. "Pops! You shouldn't drink so much in one go!!" scolded Izo as he gently slapped Whitebeard's ankle. Whitebeard frowned before putting down the bottle. "You guys are no fun," the captain complained as he relaxed in his chair. X played with her hair unconsciously as she looked up at Whitebeard.
"By observing you and your crew most of my people have mastered hiding their presence using Haki," X said nonchalantly. Izo nodded, showing he was interested. Tapping. "I'm bored!" Luffy exclaimed as he stopped hitting his leg against a chair. The straw-hatted boy quickly leaped to his feet and jogged toward the door. "Oi! Wait for us!" shouted Sabo as he grabbed Ace's wrist and hurried after his younger brother. Ace groaned as he picked up his pace to catch up to Sabo.
X shook her head with a smile as she once again faced the Whitebeard pirates. "Shall we continue the discussion?
