We didn't stay in the restaurant for very long. We spilt off into two groups, one went back to the hotel, the other decided to walk round London for a bit. I decided to go back to the hotel; along with Mary, Jess, Lauren and Lucy. We each went into our separate rooms and got fully settled in. I sat down on my bed, laying backwards dramatically. A notification came through my phone, Alessia. Again.

I let out a huff and threw my phone back down the bottom of the bed.
"Everything alright?" Lauren asked, glancing over at me from her bed.
"Yeah. Fine." I reply, realising my mistake and reaching back for my phone. I text her back dryly, then rest my phone by my side.
"I don't believe you." Lauren adds, "you got it out of me. So I'm gonna ask again. What's wrong?"
I chuckle at the girls persistence,
"Fine. It's Alessia. She's trying to, I don't know, rekindle something I guess."
"Sounds like we're having the same problems." Lauren smiles, "learn to take your own advice."
"doesn't quite work the same when it's your own problems." I chuckle, spinning my legs so I'm hanging them over the edge of the bed facing Lauren.
"Okay then." She chuckles, "Drop her. If your not gonna take your own advice I'll just switch it up."
"I don't quite think that's how I said it. I smiled, catching the blondes eyeline.
"Okay. Maybe not." Lauren chuckled, "but still. It's the same idea."

Another knock interrupts our conversation, this time it was a hotel worker,
"Good evening. The dinner hall is open for your use."
"Thanks." Lauren smiles, waiting for the worker to turn away from the door before shutting it, as not to seem rude.
"C'mon!! I'm hungry." Lauren smiles, not bothering to get changed out of her tracksuit.
"You can go without me you know?"
"And why would I do that?" The blonde chuckles,
"Just a suggestion, and plus I need to get outta these jeans. They are not my thing at all." I called, rummaging in my bag for my darker pair of tracksuit bottoms. I found them and quickly swapped over my clothes, not bothering to hide from the blonde who was too occupied scrolling on her phone to notice anyway. I didn't change my top, but did leave my hoodie in the room.
"Ready?"
"Yup. All done." I smile, grabbing my phone and room card off the bed-side table.

We arrive down at the dinner hall to find the team spilt into three tables; on one, half full table was our social media team, coaches and manager. On another was Keira, Lucy, Mary, Georgia, Ellen, Steph and Ellie with a few spare seats dotted here and there. The rest of the team were crowded round another, smaller table. That was completely full. A round of applause echoed from the general direction of Lucy as we entered the room. We immediately made our way over to the table, taking our seats in two of the spare places between Ellie and Keira.
"Nice of you both the finally show up." Georgia chuckled,
"Come on! We can't be that late. You guys don't even have food yet!" I smiled,
"Okay. Okay. Let's not tease them." Ellen added, "you're not that late girls."
"Thank you Elle-" Lauren started,
"-just late enough to warrant suspicion." She finished, giggling. The table burst into fits of laughter, and rather than taking it the wrong way both me and Lauren joined in, knowing that the girls were just playing around 'with the new kid', at least I hoped they were. Everyone slowly started leaving to pick at the buffet around the room, I waited until last then went to pick up my plate, a gentle hand found my waist, causing me to spin around to face whoever it was. I catch Lauren's eyeline as I spin,
"I'm sorry about them." She sighs,
"It's okay. They don't mean it. At least, I hope they don't." I finished, chuckling.
"They don't. Trust me. It happens with anyone new."
"Hey. Lauren, it's alright." I chuckle, placing a hand on her arm, "I get it. I've joined enough teams and you guys are the tightest by far. I've gotta earn my place, I understand." I finish smiling.

Once everyone had picked up and chosen the food, we made our way back to the table, somehow sitting in the exact same spots. We are our food with a certain air of calmness, there was jokes, yes. But nothing was taken out on anyone. It was a fairly quiet meal.
"How we all feeling 'bout tomorrow?" Mary asked her gaze drifting around the table.
A series of nods rose from the seating, accompanied by some 'okays' or 'goods'. Our conversation was shortly interrupted by Gareth, who had moved in between the three tables; and way trying to get everyone's attention.

"Just quickly ladies. I wanted to reiterate how proud of you all I am, go out there tomorrow and smash it like we know you can. And remember the scouts. I want as many City played on that England squad as possible." Gareth smiled, chuckling. The team gave him a round of applause and he did an over exaggerated bow. Before dismissing us all from the dining hall.

Both Steph and Georgia had moved into Mary's room after dinner, so their roommates; Keira and Lucy. Came into ours. They sat on Laurens bed hand in hand and due to the lack of space on her own Lauren moved onto mine.
"What are our predictions for tomorrow?" Lauren asked,
"Hm." Keira mumbles, "2-1. Maybe."
"Yeah. I'm thinking 2-1. Hopefully more though." Lucy added.
"That's more like it Luce." I chuckled, moving so I was lying flat on my stomach and mirroring Lauren's own positioning. She placed an arm over my back and let it lay there, just out of eyeline of both Lucy and Keira. We sat lying like that, just chatting with the couple for a few hours. Before Lucy and Keira decided it would be best to head into their own rooms. I pushed myself up to see the girls out, and Lauren pulled her hand off my back.

After the girls left, I turned back around to face the blonde. Who was still sat on my bed.
"You do have your own bed you know?" I smile,
"Yeah. But yours just seems to be comfier."
"Of course it does. Anyway, I'm just gonna head downstairs and ask for some more shampoo. The bottles empty."
"Your having a shower? It's like ten to twelve!"
"I still need a shower Lauren." I chuckle, "you just. Make yourself comfy." I laugh, grabbing my key card and letting myself out of the room.

By the time I got back up to the room it was about 12am, the office couldn't find any shampoo so they had to go rummaging in disused rooms. I slid my key card into the door and it beeped open. The room was dimly lit, and even though the lack of light I noticed a very Hemp-shaped mound in my bed. The blonde had fallen asleep in the ten minutes I had been gone. I had a quick shower then changed into my pajamas, that were actually just a pair of shorts and an oversized shirt and got into the bed that wasn't being taken up by my teammate.
